You said you needed your space
I wasn't where you wanted to be
I didn't stand in your way
I only want you to be happy
And, so, how surprised am I to see you here tonight?
Oh, can't you see
That for worse or for better we're better together?
Please just come back home
No, don't say that you're sorry
And I won't say I told you so
Sometimes in our life
We get to where we wonder if
The long road that we're on
Is headin' in the same direction
Well, when it comes to you and me
We're right where I know we should be
Oh, can't you see
That for worse or for better we're better together?
Please just come back home
No, don't say that you're sorry
And I won't say I told you so
Sometimes it's like we're deep in nothing but love
The slightest thing can grow so foolishly
Remind me, please
Oh, can't you see
That for worse or for better we're better together?
Please just come back home
No, don't say that you're sorry
You don't gotta say you're sorry, baby
Oh, can't you see
That for worse or for better we're better together?
Please just come back home
No, don't say that you're sorry
And I won't say I told you so
And I won't say I told you so
But I told you so
Should've known better than to leave me, baby
I wasn't where you wanted to be
I didn't stand in your way
I only want you to be happy
And, so, how surprised am I to see you here tonight?
Oh, can't you see
That for worse or for better we're better together?
Please just come back home
No, don't say that you're sorry
And I won't say I told you so
Sometimes in our life
We get to where we wonder if

Oh, can't you see
That for worse or for better we're better together?
Please just come back home
No, don't say that you're sorry
And I won't say I told you so
Sometimes it's like we're deep in nothing but love
The slightest thing can grow so foolishly
Remind me, please
Oh, can't you see

back to someone. For me once it's done-it's done.
and this song has an awesome beat to it and an awesome guitar in it
Basically, it's about being with someone, letting them go, but knowing the whole time that they are going to come back to you.
The beat is outrageous on this song.
It sounds even better live :)
i just love in the end when he kinda rubs it in the chick's face a little bit when he's like, "but i told you so." and the the "you shoulda know better than to leave me baby" i love that part too.
awesome songggg.
love that line... =]
I'm kind of in the same situation. I'm in love with my best friend, and I know he'd be happy with me, but he doesn't want to believe it, yet I just have this gut feeling that we're supposed to be together. Maybe that's why I love it so much. But, it's just AMAZING.
And I agree with emotina. It's INCREDIBLE live. And the video...aahh. I love it. Especially when he says 'But I told you so. The way he says it is just...ahh. I can't get over it.
i think the best keith urban song.
i'm not a country music fan,but i just love keith's music.
i agree, this song is awesome live.
he has a marching band come out at the end of it.
