Relax, Take It Easy Lyrics
Took a right to the end of the line
Where no one ever goes.
Ended up on a broken train with nobody I know.
But the pain and the (longings) the same.
(Where the dying
Now I’m lost and I’m screaming for help.)
Relax, take it easy
For there is nothing that we can do.
Relax, take it easy
Blame it on me or blame it on you.
It’s as if I’m scared.
It’s as if I’m terrified.
It’s as if I scared.
It’s as if I’m playing with fire.
Scared.
It’s as if I’m terrified.
Are you scared?
Are we playing with fire?
Relax
There is an answer to the darkest times.
It’s clear we don’t understand but the last thing on my mind
Is to leave you.
I believe that we’re in this together.
Don’t scream – there are so many roads left.
Relax, take it easy
For there is nothing that we can do.
Relax, take it easy
Blame it on me or blame it on you.
Relax, take it easy
For there is nothing that we can do.
Relax, take it easy
Blame it on me or blame it on you.

This song bears a strong resemblance to "(I Just) Died In Your Arms Tonight" by Cutting Crew. Could it possibly be an modified cover of that song, or something?
Don't take that as if I'm criticizing the song or anything, this is a really good song, and if it's a cover- then it's a hell of a good cover..!
man !! i really thought about that !!!! Mikaa would rock if he sang i just died in your arms btw,, i always felt like he has to !!

upbeat as this song first strikes you, by tying it to the words of the woman at the end I feel it takes on a darker note. To me the flippancy hides darker currents of fear and pain. Mika's music is a kalidoscope of primary colours. It seems simple and happy and full of energy but i wonder if the meaning behind the lyrics doesnt hold a more sinister note, as though the ecstatic joy is a brave face? To me this song may well be about lovers - or people that love platonically. It is about fidelity, facing the dark times together and in veiw of Lebanon I would say that the dark times are experienced as externally threatening forces rather than something integral with the relationship. There is death in this song and fear and a desperation, it is desperately upbeat, desperately aspiring to the impossible, the ability to relax in such a situation and environment. The characters are mutually urging each other, attempting to comfort and reassure each other, despite their own, shared, inner terror. This song is about being strong and putting on a brave light hearted face for your loved ones, those you are trying to protect, appearing happy and confident to give heart to others.when in reality it is an emotion far from which any of you are actually experiencing. I believe there is a false brightness to this song.
That is so true, what you say. That's what the song is about I think. Not about relationship. Allthough I think Mika won't mind that people think that the song is about a relationship. He just writes to process things that happened in his life. But he sais that his album 'life in cartoon motion' is about his childhood. I tried to interprate all his songs differently than other people, trying to fathom what Mika has experienced during his childhood. By now, I analized the songs: Grace Kelly, Lollipop, My Interpreation and love today. Grace Kelly is a "screw you-song" to the music industry....

I tried to interprate all his songs differently than other people, trying to fathom what Mika has experienced during his childhood. By now, I analized the songs: Grace Kelly, Lollipop, My Interpreation and love today. Grace Kelly is a "screw you-song" to the music industry. I also found a sexual interpretation and another one about Mika that does everything to get the attention of a girl he loves, and a last interpretation about his childhood. He never fitted in, though he did everything he could, still they kept on bullying him. Lollipop, that is a song he wrote for his sister, so she shouldn't begin sexual relationships too early. I found a second interpretation: Lollipop refers to innocence. It could also be a moment that he remembers from his childhood. That his mother (or someone else) warned him one day for bad girls and relationships. The only interpretation I had with 'My Interpretation' was about a break-up. But I'm sure there is another meaning. Cuz this album is about his childhood. And that has nothing to do with falling in love. His second album is about his adolescence, about first falling in love. So now I'm searching 4 the real meaning of 'My Interpretation.' I see that you're good at interpretate songs, so I ask you: Have you got an interpretion for that song? I'm just trying to see trough Mika's life. Cuz he seems so interesting to me. And than there is Love Today. What should this have to do with his childhood?
isnt it - took a RIDE to the end of line where no-one ever goes. ended up on a broken train with nobody I know. But the pain and the longings the same when your dying. Now i'm lost and im screaming for help (alone?)
I honestly think this would make a great zombie Apocalypse song... ha!
