Leaderboard, who's keeping score?
you've got it all and you want more
so put your money where your mouth is
money where your mouth is
pretty boy, who's keeping score?
you've got it all and you want more

when i said goodbye to you
i didnt think that we'd make it through
put your money where your mouth is
money where your mouth is
when i open up to you
you only tell me that you like the view

do do do do do,
do you know where to go in the event of an emergency?

eloquent and self assured
an artist's grasp of insecure
you put your money where your mouth is
money where your mouth is
i'm getting bored, i'm getting bored
of talking straight into the wall

when i said goodbye to you
i didn't think that we'd make it through
put your money where your mouth is
money where your mouth is
when i open up to you
you only tell me that you like the view

do do do do do,
do you know where to go in the event of an emergency?

    there's more lyrics after this:

you are so disgusting you're my hero you sound just like trouble you're my hero

    DO DO DO...

so dance the dance we used to dance when you cared less about the things that don't matter at all to anyone that i'd open my door to

okay im going to take a guess about this one so bare with me.. hes annoyed at his girlfriend as he feels they have to compete on everything "leaderboard, who's keeping score? you've got it all but you want more" so then hes not happy with her and then whenever he leaves her he looks back and thinks how fake their relationship is " i didnt think that we'd make it through" she feels theyr fine and ok but he doesnt think hes sure when he chalenges her "put your money where your mouth is" so then hes really thinking about what would happen if he did break up with her "DO YOU KNOW WHERE TO GO IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY?" and when he trys to talk to her about it she put it off "talk about the view" and perhaps he wishes in the end that the relation ship could go back to when it was all simple and away from deep feelings "so dance the dance we used to dance when you cared less"

i dont know if im anywhere close but id like to know what the meaning is if this isnt it. so any other interpretations would b good plz.

Sounds about right to me, I hope they do a remastered version of this on the album ... that's be amazing, not that there's anything wrong with this, just usually with Remastered versions I fall in love with the song even more than go back to the original and worship that =)

Does anyone happen to have the lyrics for Telenova or Historia? Did they come with the EP?

Isn't it 'you are so disgusting, you're my hero, you LOOK just like trouble, you're my hero'? Then the end, yeah.

well, i think its about him having a really self centered and shallow girlfriend. "when i open up to you you only tell me that you like the view"

this could mean looking at him, but not caring what he has to say

"so dance the dance we used to dance when you cared less about the things that don't matter at all to anyone that i'd open my door to"

suggests that after a while of being in a relationship, they dont seem to get along anymore, and shes causing arguments and they're scoring points of eachother by making petty comments.

    "leaderboard, who's keeping score?"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
