The Cult was my first concert, and I remember the crowd going wild for this one here. Lenny Kravitz was the opening artist..not many people knew who Lenny was then as he was just starting out. Both artists were great live and I'll never forget that show.

To me it seems that they are talking about their love of a girl (although may be their love for an object as raised by another poster).

Wild flower (and the song) gives the impression that the object of their affection is a bit of free spirit (wild) and the flower points to a female. The song talks about how they make them feel (the euphoria of love, how it makes you act strange and the intoxication of love).

@ripgut I'd disagree with your assumption. It seems to be much more about love ... but I suppose I've never been addicted to a drug, so could explain the difference in interpretations.
