Sorry Hearts Lyrics
I take a spiritual drive
Down by the coast of her eyes
I keep seeing cowboys ride by Indian style
She’s twisted fumbling by
She scratches paint of my sky
Whenever feelings run dry
I just go hide because we all, we all
We all have sorry hearts
Because yeah we all, we all
We all have sorry hearts
Alive and striving for rain
Full time control of the game
Dressed like a French whore in Spain
Add water to my flame
There’s not appropriate classes
Just clean the lens on your glasses
You’ll see how some people’s asses can be kicked twice
Cause yeah we all, we all
We all have sorry hearts
Cause yeah we all, we all
We all have sorry hearts
We all take spiritual drives
Down dead end streets of our lives
Weeping rock bottom cries with our head high
I’m here to tell you why
We all, we all
We all have sorry hearts
Cause yeah we all, we all
We all have sorry hearts
Down by the coast of her eyes
I keep seeing cowboys ride by Indian style
She’s twisted fumbling by
She scratches paint of my sky
Whenever feelings run dry
I just go hide because we all, we all
We all have sorry hearts
Because yeah we all, we all
We all have sorry hearts
Full time control of the game
Dressed like a French whore in Spain
Add water to my flame
Just clean the lens on your glasses
You’ll see how some people’s asses can be kicked twice
Cause yeah we all, we all
We all have sorry hearts
Cause yeah we all, we all
We all have sorry hearts
Down dead end streets of our lives
Weeping rock bottom cries with our head high
I’m here to tell you why
We all, we all
We all have sorry hearts
Cause yeah we all, we all
We all have sorry hearts

I have a hard time deciphering the meaning to this as well, but I think the sentiment is that we all live our lives by regret. And we try to make up for our mistakes. A lot of the lyrics are strange, but here's what I think.
"I keep seeing cowboys ride by Indian style" This may show remorse for what happened to the Native Americans. A way to sort of honor their lives and who they were, because the cowboys feel regret.
"Alive and striving for rain Full time control of the game Dressed like a French whore in Spain Add water to my flame" I think in this instance, he is talking about rain in the way that it's considered purifying and sort of... forgiving. And the "add water to my flame" may be him saying that the flame (destruction) needs to be released of it's burning.
I'm not sure about all of them, but I think most of the lyrics in this song are just metaphors about being so regretful you can't get up, or you live your life always trying to repay all the wrongs you perpetrated on something or someone. I think the spiritual drives part is just him saying that we all go back and examine our lives, and we see the times we diguised ourselves or ran away, the things we failed to do or say, and we are influenced by them. That's what I get out of it, anyway.
since nobody commented this..i guess i would.
i'm not a fan of blue october, to be honest, i never heard of them...until just recently when their song 'Hate Me' played on the radio. the song struck me hard...reminding me of an ex-boyfriend i had broken up with...for my own personal reasons. stupid reasons.
and it's really silly, but now, i wish he WOULD hate me for everything. it'd be much better than living with the notion that someone out there is STILL in love with you-even after it was long over.
anyways...this song reminds me of sex for soe reson, but i don't know. [maybe the whole french whore in spain..or indian style or whatnot...]
i guess i should listen to the song first =P
this song is utterly amazing..
such beautiful acoustic guitar along with a heart crushing violin... ahh it gives me the chills.
as many times as i listen to this song i cant figure out what it means! its driving me insane
hmmm... well... I think its about awkward social situations and not always knowing what to say. Then when you have time to think about it, you feel dumb for not saying something or saying the wrong thing.
Of course, this coupled with drugs. Justin was seriously fucked up at one point.
