I... I want you to know
I... I love you so
I... I won't let go
This time, this time
I... I want you to know
I... I love you so
I... I won't let go
This time I know it's for real

What would I have to do
To get you to notice me too?
Do I stand in line?
One of a million admiring eyes
Walking tide from way up high
Write you name across the sky

I'm going crazy just to let you know
You''d be amazed how much I love you so
Oh baby
When I get my hands on you I won't let go
This time I know it's for real

Should I write or call your home
Shout it out with a megaphone
Radio, TV news
Gotta find a way to get the message to you
Say I love you with a neon sign
Anything to make you mine

I'm going crazy just to let you know
You''d be amazed how much I love you so
Oh baby
When I get my hands on you I won't let go
This time I know it's for real

Ooh baby, this time, this time...
Ooh baby, this time, this time...
Ooh yeah my baby
Walking tide from way up high
Write your name across the sky

I'm going crazy just to let you know
You'd be amazed how much I love you so
Oh baby
When I get my hands on you I won't let go
This time, this time (It's for real)
I'm going crazy just to let you know
You'd be amazed how much I love you so
Oh baby
When I get my hands on you I won't let go
This time I know it's for real

I'm going crazy (oh yea)
I'm going crazy (this time I know it's for real)
When I get my hands on you (this time I know it's for real)

I'm going crazy just to let you know
If I wait too long for you, I might explode
Oh baby
I've been around a long enough to know
This time I know it's for real

I want you to know
I love you so
I won't let go

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.
