Majoring in Minors Lyrics
Watching your lips move together
Nothing's making sense
Talk to me
Talk to me
I don't want to break the silence with the taste of something violent
Come to me
Come to me
I don't believe the lies
Reading between the lines
I don't belong here any longer
I'll be gone this time
Watching every move you make
I hope you slip
I hope this fades away
Fades away
I get closer with the silent treatment when it hurts to need it when its hard to leave it
Come to me
Come to me
I don't believe the lies
Reading between the lines
I don't belong here any longer
I'll be gone this time
I don't believe the lies
This is the last goodbye
I don't belong here any longer
I'll be gone this time
I'm letting go
I'm letting go
I'm letting go
God only knows it's getting harder everyday
I don't believe the lies
Reading between the lines
I don't belong here any longer
I'll be gone this time
I don't beleive the lies
This is the last goodbye
I don't belong here any longer
I'll be gone this time
Watching your lips move together
Nothing's making sense

Brill song. About a guy who is fed up of his girlfriend telling him lies and he just wishes she would talk him. But he decides hes had enough.
It's "I don't belong here any longer holding on this tight".
I thought it was about, like, right after a breakup. He's upset and bitter and trying to let go. She's been lying to him, maybe about why they broke up, or maybe those lies like "I want to spend some time alone" or whatever.
The second verse is about how right after a breakup, if you're still around each other, you keep watching that person, keeping tabs or whatever. (Especially applicable in smal towns where you can't escape that shit.) He "gets closer with the silent treatment," meaning that he's trying to get over it by ignoring her, cutting her out of his life.
I can relate to this song. But instead of a girlfriend, it's about me and my mom =(
