We could fall apart.
And I'd be your memory.
Lost your sense of fear.
Feelings insincere.
Can I be your memory?
Just like I imagined.
I could never feel this way.
So get back, back, back to the disaster.
My heart's beating faster.
Holding on to feel the same.
I'll tear us apart.
Can I be your enemy?
Losing half a year.
Waiting for you here
I'd be your anything
Just like I imagined
I could never feel this way.
So get back, back, back to the disaster.
My heart's beating faster.
Holding on to feel the same.
Tearing out my heart.
I'd be your memory.
Lost your sense of fear.
(I'd be your memory)
Feelings disappeared.
Can I be your memory?
Just like I imagined
I could never feel this way.
So get back, back, back to the disaster.
My heart's beating faster.
Holding on to feel the same.
We could fall apart
And I'd be your memory.
Lost your sense of fear.
Feelings insincere.
Can I be your memory?

I think this song is about a relationship that didn't happen. And wishing it had, imagining what would have happened. Not caring that it would end bad, just wanting to be able to remember the whole thing. The writer regrets not starting a relationship, because he thought it would end badly... but now he realizes that perhaps the relationship and memories of it would have been worth a bad falling out with the girl. I've had this happen to me at least twice....

I don't think this song's about a break-up. I think it's about a relationship that he wants to happen. He doesn't really care if it fails sometime, he just wants to be with her. "I'd be your anything." He'll be her "memory" after it's maybe over, he'll be her love, he'll be anything to her that he can be. As long as they can get together.

This song reminds me about how no matter how hard you try to forget someone that hurt you in your life, you can't forget them and all you have is memories of the good and bad times.

Sorry... "last stand" = "lasted," I think "All" shoud be "I'll"
Anyway...

(prayingmantis84, you should be able to edit it...) Anyway... I think the song is about a failed (maybe still failing) relationship... and the guy wants her back, even though things were rocky when they were together... But if they can't be together again, he doesn't want her to forget him.

Hey, cool, so I can...

I think it's still failing, on the very verge of goodbye and he doesn't want her to forget him.
On a side note, this sounds vaugely Eternal Sunshine, doesn't it? I mean, they wrote it long before the movie, but still...

This song is pretty cool...the acoustic version anyways....Im not big on the full band version...if you havent heard the acoustic than you should slit your throat with a gravy ladle

That sounds rather painful... where can I get it? (assume I can't use any file-sharing programs... because I can't)
