My Apocalypse Lyrics

Sudden implosion of silenced emotions
Buried beneath a scarred heart for too long
Delusions of hope fading away
Dying like leaves on frozen soil

My apocalypse is near
I can feel the end... Coming here

Neglecting existence, repulse and repent
An endless journey into the morbid
Whispering voices distorting all senses
Buried beneath a scattered heart for all too long

My apocalypse is near
I can feel the end... Coming here

The bitter taste of a dying dream
Shine the light on our shadows and illusions

This is quite an extrordinary, yet very dark and apocalyptic song. The lyrics fit the darkness found within the riffs. It seems it's about a person's personal apocalypse, which he slowly fades away from existence on earth, it explains the descent into darkness, depression and the coming apocalypse which is death.

Thanks for the obvious, yet depressing fucktoids. Just made that up because your opinions, even if close to fact are fucked. Its; like listening to my 10 year old cousin.

Not too shappy, but the apocalypse COULD reference a relationship and the death of it, don't ya think. There are more relationship failures in the world than there are suicides; not every death is synonymous with suicide (thankfully:)

Death. No doubt. A person giving in to the inevitable. Death breaks the silence of dying. I guess thats what it means.

I love this friggin' song. Arch Enemy rules.

I agree with Solarius on the meaning. One's own personal apocalypse..

The way it slows down in the middle is a perfect literal portrayal of the lyrics, with just the guitars and drums, the heavy beats saying this is the end, its finally over

this end could be anything. end of individual life, the life of a race/species, the death of what holds life back, or perhaps the death of an idea.

perhaps the "apocalypse" of way of thinking. the way the music comes back during "The bitter taste of a dying dream Shine the light on our shadows and illusions " makes me think of a resurrection. maybe an new idea to stop death. or just seeking truth before death.

To me it sounds like it's about someone who's accumulated mental traumas in life, and over time lost interest in the every-day world.

They start to become something inhuman, delving deeper into darkness and the unknown.

My Interpretation

Considering not one person stated it I don't believe it was "obvious" :) Perhaps you should listen to your 10 year old cousin more often instead of your 10 year old girlfriend. ("Oh no she didn't," as many young people say:) Stop following me. Your other alias are friendlier...they have kind of like that Smith charm:)

If I'm being honest, when I read your words they don't even connect at all. No ones following you, it's obvious you're keeping unwanted tabs on me. Who knew about this website first? You just don't provide anything insightful or new to the obvious. Thank you...
