i think that this song is about someone who has fallen but remembered that their spouse or lover has a promise to them to always be there and that they will never leave them and that their love is true pure and holy
I think it's about God and when you're Christian (or in a religion where you believe in God), you have a promise with God and He has a promise with you and he'll always be there ('I know you're always there, To hear my every prayer inside'). It can be heard and thought of as a song about two peopl in love but this song is much more meaningful than that, it's much stronger than anything because there's no connection stronger than you and God.

I think this song to is way more deep then just a husband and wife. This song is telling us even when we mess up God with never abandon us or leave us. He's promised to stay with us and give us eternal life.
