Blue Piccadlilly Lyrics
She gave her heart, for a wealthy man,
A healthy child and a healthy tan,
I gave it all, for a pretty face,
Sweet smile but a bitter taste,
They gave it all, yes they gave it all
Their thoughts were big but their feelings small
I put the dog out for you
I travelled beneathwards for you
Down where it's rumbling
Suburbs left crumbling
Here's where the fun begins it's true
But I never knew, anyone could make me run but you do
Thats when the blue piccadilly
Takes me away from the city
Maybe someday, you'll forgive me
Twelve stops and home
You turn it downwards for me
There ain't much left down here to see
You're just too cool for me
You make quite a fool of me
You brought out the school in me yeah
But I never knew, anyone, tougher than you
Thats when the blue piccadilly
Takes me away from the city
Maybe someday, you'll forgive me
Twelve stops and home
Baby I think that i love ya
And as a sure sign above ya
Ain't it a shame there's another
I think I'll go home
(Why are you here again)
Twelve stops and home
(There is no better friend)
Twelve stops and home
(Look at the time we spent)
Twelve stops and home
(When will it ever end)
Twelve stops and home
La la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la
You take me down, down, down
You take me down.
La la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la
A healthy child and a healthy tan,
I gave it all, for a pretty face,
Sweet smile but a bitter taste,
They gave it all, yes they gave it all
Their thoughts were big but their feelings small

i think the piccadilly line on the london tube is coloured blue on the maps of it
My train has 12 stops till I'm home =D
Aw... kind of pretty, though it makes me giggle a little inside... but I'm slightly immature, so ignore me. 'Miss You' usually follows this, doesn't it?
The lead singer of The Feeling (Dan Gillespie Sells) used to take 12 stops on the tube from Leicester Square to wherever he lived, on the picadilly line. Which is blue. Anyway, I'd always wondered what it was about, but when I was listening to it and actually remembered how Dan said he wrote the song, it sort of fell into place, partly at least: "I travelled beneathwards for you Down where it's rumbling Suburbs left crumbling" That's basically him on the tube (beneathwards) where it's rumbling (the noise of the trains) So I think its just him sitting on the tube thinking about this relationship, and the two are merging, its not very clear cut really, but its just a reflection of what he was thinking And its the last song on the album (except the bonus track, miss you) and hes going home, so the two sort of fit together...the end of his journey, the end of the album.
