The lead singer of The Feeling (Dan Gillespie Sells) used to take 12 stops on the tube from Leicester Square to wherever he lived, on the picadilly line. Which is blue. Anyway, I'd always wondered what it was about, but when I was listening to it and actually remembered how Dan said he wrote the song, it sort of fell into place, partly at least: "I travelled beneathwards for you Down where it's rumbling Suburbs left crumbling" That's basically him on the tube (beneathwards) where it's rumbling (the noise of the trains) So I think its just him sitting on the tube thinking about this relationship, and the two are merging, its not very clear cut really, but its just a reflection of what he was thinking And its the last song on the album (except the bonus track, miss you) and hes going home, so the two sort of fit together...the end of his journey, the end of the album.
