I love this song. I really wish I knew what she was singing tho!

From what I understand of Spanish, I'll put the English part in brackets. I've heard different lyrics though, so I'll post those as well:

okay, she really says the same thing over and over, and it is all sexual....she kinda sounds like a slut.. Seems she's talking to the man she has an affair with.. here is the translation, put to it;s most basic form, not that Nelly used a very complicated form anyway.... LYRICS...

yeah- very basic, shallow lyrics...

there are a couple of little problems with the posted lyrics: 1) mi copa otro día tienes que llenar -- I'm pretty sure she's actually seeing "mi copa vecia tienes que llenar" ("you need to fill my empty cup") 2) quiero que yo quiero, yo lo quiero ahora--here, I think she says "quiero lo que quiero, y lo quiero ahora" ("I want what I want, and I want it right now") 3) there's a missing verse: Me levantas cuando cantas a mi nombre Me levantas cuando cantas a mi nombre Ay cariño, es mi chico, tengo listo Ay cariño, necesito tu sonido (you lift me up when you sing my name you lift me up when you sing my name oh my darling, I'm ready oh my darling, I need your sound).

The lyrics to this song are simple and sexually charged, but I don't think they're shallow. They're just to-the-point, sexy, and flirtatious. Not Shakespeare, but they match pace and tone of the great, percussive music.

She sings real fast in the song, so it does get difficult to translate for a non-natice speaker. Flippedforyou is out of line and outright wrong. She is not a slut. She is describing how no one can compare to her man. No hay igual means there is no equal. El hambre que tengo tienes que matar refers to the hunger that she has that is kills. For your education man is "hombre" She is pasionate about her man and the song is wonderful, nowhere near shallow as you so callously attribute this brilliant musician's lyrics.

I have absolutly no idea what she is saying, but I love this song! It makes me want to dance everytime I hear it.

I think during the chorus, a more accurate approximation might be:

"I only want you Nothing's the same I hope that my body smells like you after you've loved me I want nothing else It's not the same."

I think what's throwing a lot of people off is that the sentence construction is so drastically different than it would be in English. It really doesn't translate at all into a manner that fits the rhythm and meter of the chorus.

LOL! These lyrics are all wrong. It's not HUELE mi cuerpo, it's DUELE mi cuerpo, which means my body hurts for you. and it's not a slutty song. The literal translation is way off. She's basically saying 'I want you and only you, there is no other that's why i'm waiting, my body hurts for you there is no other,' in the chorus
