We Take Mystery (To Bed) Lyrics
Confiscate letters like D.E.B.
No natural course of things
For her to expect
Withdraw the feelings 'You can, you can't'
I called your number as you told the world
Someone is wrong
I'll find the answer
You'll take mystery to bed
My sister Coma she was always too shy
You told the story crying
'Darling, too good to last'
No natural course of things
For her to expect
Withdraw the feelings 'You can, you can't'
I called your number as you told the world
You'll take mystery to bed
My sister Coma she was always too shy
You told the story crying
'Darling, too good to last'

I think the lyrics posted here are incorrect... or I might be listening to the wrong version of the song. Really, I couldn't do any better, because Numan's voice can be hard to understand at times.
@Monopatinista Well this is probably 6 years too late, but I would like to confirm that those are indeed the correct lyrics. :) One of my favorite songs ever, huge fan. 100% agree about his voice lol

@Monopatinista Maybe there is more than one version? The first verse is right, but the second I don't recognize at all, and there is a completely different verse that I do remember: "There is no longer any normal to be/ You're my assassin but you can't see the crime/ Pointless possessions of me and you and greed/ I looked at you mistaking needles for eyes." I'm pretty sure the lyrics are printed on the album sleeve--- maybe I can look them up later. Edit to add: Yes, these lyrics are the first two verses of the...

Edit to add: Yes, these lyrics are the first two verses of the "Early Version" which I had never heard until just now. It's almost a completely different song from the one that ended up on the album. Several additional verses, different arrangement, different melody (except for a few fragments in common), much slower and less dancey.
I wonder what "D.E.B." is? I've seen it as the brand on some soap dispensers in public washrooms, but I doubt that's what he was referring to.
[Edit: Adding punctuation, also adding a sentence expanding on the question]
