Theresa Lyrics
Don't happen
By yourself
Alone
Is no
Way to live
Don't happen
By yourself
Alone
Is no
Way to live
We can love
One another
We could love
We can love
One another
We could love
Don't happen
By myself
Alone
Is no
Way to live
Don't Happen
By myself
Alone
Is no
Way to live
We can love
One another
We could love
We can love

This song is almost a sad follow-up to "If There's Love." It's like things are falling apart, and despite the futility, Greenwater is still making a plea for someone to listen. Beautiful song.

I don't think this song is about things falling apart at all. In fact, I think it's about things that haven't started yet. The narrator loves someone and knows that that person loves them back as well. They're trying to show them that you can't hide or deny your feelings, you just have to take the plunge. I gather from it that he's basically saying: look, we both love each other(these feelings don't happen by myself/yourself), we can't live without each other(breathing don't happen by myself/yourself), so let's be together(we could love, we can love).
