Welcome To The End Lyrics

"Welcome home," she said to me,
"Let's hide away before they see
I need so much to be alone with you, I do, I do
Come with me," She took my hand
"Please try to help me understand"
So pointless when my heart has turned to stone
"I know, I know"

I wish I didn't need you now
And I wish I didn't need you now
And I wish I didn't need you now
I need you now, I need you now

"I wish we could," she whispered near
"Go someplace far away from here."
While hoping that small voice would
Disappear that said, "Welcome to the end"

Beautiful song when you here this folks... the vocals and everything. I think that this is just about a guy who envisions his loved one as an angel of death and she's trying to lead him to The End while the guy's saying that he doesn't understand, that he can keep going on ("I wish I didn't need now") but yet inside he knows he can't ("I need you now").

I think he's singing about being with a girl that he shouldn't be with. For whatever reason, she's somebody else's girl, she's his bad ex, or it's just him convinced that he can't have a relationship; only now he's being presented with one small moment to be with someone.

'I wish I didn't need you now' he's trying to be without this person but he needs her.

'Welcome to the end' doesn't have to literally mean the end of life, just the end of one kind of life he's living.

i agree with magic man, it captures the meaning of fate and crossing paths how time and actions may have separated them in different ways and how they still long for each other, it will take a runaway just for them to have each other again.

Ok this is sorta dumb, but I think it is a husband and wife who get no time for romance anymore because of 1. their children and

  1. the husband has now lost interest.

@mrsticky005 After being married for so long this sounds so reasonable. A relationship where all intimacy has died out, and here we are... One last exchange before we both walk away from it forever.
