The Good People Of Everywhere Lyrics
When they pulled in the center of town with eager eyes the children gathered and bowed when the truck stopped from it's clumsy crawl out stepped a man with boxes under his arms he yelled out friends here inside of my hand is the solution to life's bitter end how does it work someone yelled from the back well my child I'm so glad that you asked
You give one of these to your folks as they sleep and when the morning comes then the job has been done and you can face the brand new day and call yourselves by different names you can write your history and fill the books with what you please
There doesn't have to be a war, there won't be any kids who starve no one will ever lay a hand on anyone who's half there size everyone will love their home no matter what street they live on you can work on what you want or dance until your legs go numb
There's nothing to do if you don't want to
For the first time in their short lives they were equal in their hearts and their minds but slowly yours needed to become mine and those who took more started creating sides and when they pulled in the center of town with shameful eyes the children scattered about he yelled out friends here inside of my hand is the solution to the mess that your in
You take two of these before you go to sleep and when the morning comes your mistake will be done you re-enacted yesterday and called yourself by family names you repeated history word for word from books on greed so now it's time to end this war before you kids completely starve take your hands off of the throats of everyone whose half your size all of you have burned your homes no matter what street you lived on you have worked on wickedness so now it's time to right this wrong
There's nothing to do if you don't want to
There's nothing

Pretty deep song, even for hsh who's always got crazy thoughts going on.. pretty obvious, a man pulls into town, the kids murder and are freed from their parents and all authority, they have no obligation and everything's good and wonderful.. but they fall into the same routines and immoralities that cursed their parents.. "slowly yours needed to become mine"=greed. It brings Lord Of The Flies to my mind.
The end confuses me though, do they go back in time and undo what they did?
I think maybe the end is more morbid...and perhaps they take the same thing they gave to their parents. I think maybe he's saying that as long as humans exist human nature will exist.
i agree with SethRx...i am led to believe that the children kill themselves in the end...a way to end the seemingly endless cycle.
most definately
"You take two of these before you go to sleep and when the morning comes your mistake will be done"
same things that he had them give your song. it makes me think of all the failed utopian societies combined with suicide cults. an eerily awesome song

I still say half-full. "It's time to right this wrong" just seems too positive, even for an ironic statement. It just doesn't fit in my head. :)
i love this whole song, but i really really like the part "There's nothing to do if you don't want to" with the girls voice singing it. it just sounds so cute and calming. anyone else notice that?
children of the korn. enought said.
