House Of Leaves Lyrics
hey now, overcome your concern about the weather
and whether or not im still alive
check the vital signs
so soft spoken and shy
never gets high anymore
did you poison my food, forgive me i've the paranoid flu
i've been lying wide awake paralyzed by the buzzing of the television
these modern things we know, getting you off
these modern things we know, getting you off
haunting us, these different meanings and spectral beings.
We're fighting sleep with broken, rusted weaponry.
Sing so softly and low, like you want me to hear.
Stolen what you can't afford,
What's that muffle beating for?
i've been lying wide awake paralyzed by the buzzing of the television
these modern things we know, getting you off
these modern things we know, getting you off
Something I could never say, speak so softly and low.
Something I could never say.
(Yltfos os kaeps [speak so softly backwords])
Something I could never say.
(Yltfos os kaeps)
Something I could never say.
(Yltfos os kaeps.)
(Speak so softly and low.)
Something I could never say, speak so softly and low.
(Speak so softly.)
(Yltfos os kaeps.)
If you love me let me go.
(Stolen what you can't...)
Speak so softly.
(Speak so softly.)
(Stolen what you can't afford, what's that muffle beat...)
(Yltfos os kaeps.)
(Speak so softly.)
(Something I can never say. Speak so softly and low.)
(Speak so... softly.)
(Yltfos os kaeps. Yltfos os kaeps. Yltfos.)

I think that this is about the book. I believe that maybe Zampano was really Mr. Navidson and that the book isn't really about a real labrynth in a house but rather the labrynth inside himself. Remember, there were monster scratches on the floor next to his dead body @ the beginning. Maybe it's how other people's pain can sometimes suck you in. It says in the book that Navidson used photojournalism to busy himself to forget about his traumatic childhood. Maybe that's the problem. Maybe that's why his relationship suffered, because he never took care of the problem and then magically it became a twisted labrynth in his mind. Perhaps that's why it's best to do whatever you have to do to change yourself and get out of a bad situation before it get's too late. Maybe that's why people shouldn't repress things because in the end it comes back to haunt you?
you are fucking brilliant
you are fucking brilliant
Where do you see monster scratches? I concur with the conclusion of inner labyrinth, but I always thought it was Truant who has inner problems. He can't sleep. He sheds himself from others. Instead of focusing on Zampano so much and his disbelief of the inner growing house (internal problems), he is in denial of those problems. Zampano seemed an ordinary man, a bit detached from society but seems at peace with that conclusion. Truant is obsessed over the Files. I think it's a statement of you really don't know what people think/are going through, but can judge them, while...

Can we evolve and adapt to the inevitable forces in our lives?

House of Leaves.
It's pretty much the scenario of Truant in his room, with all the thoughts running around his head.
