From Jamaica to the world
It's just love, it's just love, yeah

Why must the children play in the streets?
Broken hearts and faded dreams
Peace and love to everyone that you meet
Don't you worry, it could be so sweet

Just look to the rainbow, you will see
Sun will shine 'til eternity
I've got so much love in my heart
No one can tear it apart, yeah

Be the love generation
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Be the love generation
Come on, come on, come on, come on, eh

Be the love generation
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Be the love generation
Ooh yeah

Don't worry 'bout a thing
Gonna be alright
Don't worry 'bout a thing
Gonna be alright
Don't worry 'bout a thing
Gonna be alright
Gonna be, gonna, gonna, gonna, gonna be alright

It's all love, you know?
It's all love
From I and I to everyone
Got to love, well, we got to love, yeah
There's no need to cry, yeah
Got to love, well, we got to love, yeah
Got to live that love
You know what I'm talkin' 'bout?
Come on

Be the love generation
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Be the love generation
Come on, come on, come on, come on, eh

Be the love generation
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Be the love generation
Come on, come on, come on, come on, yeah

Be the love generation
Ooh yeah
It's all love, you know?
Be the love generation
Got to love
Got to love, well, we got to love, yeah
Yeah

I think this song has to do with how all the young children these days should all love one and other no matter who you are and what you are like.

I think it means that everyone should try to feel the love for one another and if this happens then life could just be "so sweet" with no worries, faded dreams or broken hearts. I totally love this song, its got such a great beat and gives me a real good feeling :) It actually reminds me of a lion running through the Sahara or jungle, just the music lol.

When I'm listening to songs like that I'm really looking forward the future. If we all raise our children like that they will rule the world with love.

This is my interpretation of this song

“Why must our children play in the streets, broken hearts and faded dreams,” is talking bout the children who get abused, left by themselves, always called a failure. They’re dreams are faded cause they don’t think theres hope. Broken hearts cause they only experienced hatred from the people who should love them…

“peace and love to everyone that you meet, don't you know, it could be so sweet,” is talking bout don’t hate or discriminate people you meet on the color of their skin or beliefs.

“just look to the rainbow, you will see, sun will shine 'til eternity,” is pretty much reassurance to people that there is a brighter day out there. Just keep believing. Don’t lose hope. Don’t let what people say to you get to you.

This is what I think of whenever I listen to the song….I might b wrong…lol…. Good song all in all.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
