Fix what’s wrong, but don’t rewrite what the artist wrote. Stick to the official released version — album booklet, label site, verified lyric video, etc. If you’re guessing, pause and double-check.
Respect the structure
Songs have rhythm. Pages do too. Leave line breaks where they belong. Don’t smash things together or add extra empty space just for looks.
Punctuation counts (but vibe-editing doesn’t)
Correct typos? Yes. Re-punctuating a whole verse because it ‘looks better’? Probably not. Keep capitalization and punctuation close to the official source.
Don’t mix versions
If you’re editing the explicit version, keep it explicit. If it’s the clean version, keep it clean. No mashups.
Let the lyrics be lyrics
This isn’t the place for interpretations, memories, stories, or trivia — that’s what comments are for. Keep metadata, translations, and bracketed stage directions out unless they’re officially part of the song.
Edit lightly
If two lines are wrong… fix the two lines. No need to bulldoze the whole page. Think ‘surgical,’ not ‘remix.’
When in doubt, ask the crowd
Not sure what they’re singing in that fuzzy bridge? Drop a question in the comments and let the music nerds swarm. Someone always knows.
I think the message of this song is Daft Punk is telling us to make love, not hatred. They want peace and not war, but I could be wrong.
The other message I think is it could be a romance song between two people. They have come back from a date and know they are about to make love and this is the song that comes on.
I've always felt this song was much deeper than just straight out "peace" or "romance". It seems way too desperate and even lonely for that matter. To me the song feels as if there are only two people left on earth and they make love because they are afraid and confused.
A pathetic reason to make love? Maybe so, but it really does fit in with the feel of the song if that makes sense. You know, the fear that would come with being the last two alive and the confusion, the not knowing of what to do and not knowing whether what's happening is right or even real for that matter? That's what I imagine when I listen to this song anyway.

you know what i think of when i hear this song? this is really whack, but I think of a French Orgy with people sitting around getting high and tripping w/weird lights flashing around in a lounge. its a pretty crazy image in my head - and no i don't take drugs either hahaha

I absolutely adore this song.
An 8-measure pattern repeating for nearly 5 minutes has never sounded so wonderful.

If you think this song has any other meaning than "Make Love" than you're thinking way too into it.
