War Inside, A Lyrics
For so long we slave under the gun
And this war inside is never won
I have always sworn that I won't conform
(and) I refuse to suffer anymore
The calm before the storm
(like) You were never warned
You always think its up to them again to bail you out
Responsibility is now priority
Well don't forget the fact
We eat, sleep, and breathe here...
But never fear
For so long we slave under the gun
And this war inside is never won
I have always sworn that I won't conform
(and) I refuse to suffer anymore
So now you feel the wrath of your own aftermath
The constant fear impending danger lurks behind your back
It don't seem so extreme
When you watch it from your screen
And go on living with a false security
And broken dreams
For so long we slave under the gun
And this war inside is never won
I have always sworn that I won't conform
(and I'm not gonna) suffer anymore
No I won't fall in line
Or live by your design
I'll keep my head up now
And I'll be fine
For so long we've slaved under the gun
And this war inside is never won
I have always sworn that I won't conform
(and) I refuse to suffer anymore
So now you feel the wrath of your own aftermath
The constant fear impending danger lurks behind your back
It don't seem so extreme
When you watch it from your screen
(and) I won't trade my freedom anymore
And this war inside is never won
I have always sworn that I won't conform
(and) I refuse to suffer anymore
(like) You were never warned
You always think its up to them again to bail you out
Responsibility is now priority
Well don't forget the fact
We eat, sleep, and breathe here...
But never fear
And this war inside is never won
I have always sworn that I won't conform
(and) I refuse to suffer anymore
The constant fear impending danger lurks behind your back
It don't seem so extreme
When you watch it from your screen
And go on living with a false security
And broken dreams
And this war inside is never won
I have always sworn that I won't conform
(and I'm not gonna) suffer anymore
Or live by your design
I'll keep my head up now
And I'll be fine
And this war inside is never won
I have always sworn that I won't conform

(and) I won't trade my freedom anymore

I Think that this song is about a few different things. i think it's about people's every day battle to do what's right instead of doing what they're told, i think it's partly about the whole Katrina debacle, and the government's "population control" in that area, and it's about letting people know that the shit you see on tv is not in some war torn 3rd world country, it's right here in our backyard, and we need to do something about it, because we are the biggest faction, not those fucking criminals who hijacked the white house! rise up....
