She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not Lyrics
Felt too much
Did she feel a thing?
Long dark hair
Never saw her cry
In two halves I was torn
My maybe love who wouldn't even try
She loves me, she loves me not
She loves me, she loves me not
I saw you only yesterday
We shared a smile, then went our separate ways
Perhaps one day?
Never mind
All the nights we shared
Were we just killing time?
She loves me, she loves me not
She loves me, she loves me not
For all the things I said to her and all the ways I tried
And all the things I did for her, they're lost with one goodbye
She loves me, she loves me not
She loves me, she loves me not
For all the things I said to her and all the ways I tried
And all the things I did for her were lost with one goodbye
She loves me, she loves me not
She loves me, she loves me not
Did she feel a thing?
Long dark hair
Never saw her cry
In two halves I was torn
My maybe love who wouldn't even try
She loves me, she loves me not
We shared a smile, then went our separate ways
Perhaps one day?
Never mind
All the nights we shared
Were we just killing time?
She loves me, she loves me not
And all the things I did for her, they're lost with one goodbye
She loves me, she loves me not
And all the things I did for her were lost with one goodbye
She loves me, she loves me not

Bauhaus - Spirit.
A homage to...
Um well yeah she could be lying to him and leading him on intentionally (what a whore) but pretty much it's obvious.
Doesn't he kind sound like David Bowie here?
I think this song is about the singer looking back on a relationship that has just ended...Obviously it's still raw for him, He's in the 'insecure' stage of the breakup.
The part where you ask yourself was it real Did you mean as much to that person as they did to you? It's the place where you question everything Did they love me?, Did i give more?, Did i come on too strong?, etc etc.
He's grieving the end of it, and i agree with the above poster, He's very David Bowie-esque in his voice here.
The auther loves the woman but sadly the woman does not feel this same love.
I agree with Bizzno - this is a rather obvious song to be understood. When I read/heard this, it seemed to me that the lady had led him on... or her feelings disappeared completely. That, however, could be incorrect...
what if he is making it up? they are in a weird situation and he has given up hope. like damn she lied but she didnt really he is just too wrapped up in his self pitty to figure out shes not going anywhere he just needs to hang out while something gets finished.
this song sounds like he is about to rip himself apart from grief. its amazingly written.
the questions anyone would ask themself when its over. did he make a fool of himself?
