Body Breakdown Lyrics
Silent screams and shattered dreams of what we left at seventeen
Still lost within the misery and pain that lies inside
Here alone the fire to breathe still searching for the truth to be
Blackened by the burning fire held deep indise my mind
Far beyond the lost horizon standing on the shore
Across the seas their hearts will bleed this life we're waiting for
Taste the steel in pain you kneel for glory we defend
Our fallen douls will rise to fight again
Stay here with me this night we'll be together
Future in our hands we'll fight with freedom drawing near
Stand here with me for we stand and face it all
Falling rain will hide the pain that lies beneath the burning flames
All hope is gone so carry on before the world will fall
Rise again to die in vain now life can never be the same
Our own salvation drawing nearer hear the darkness call
Skies are falling thunder storming stand before the world
We're banished now to barren wastelands fight for the demon whore
Riding on throughblackened darkness cross the endless sands
We sail away our victory at hand
Stay here with me we feel this pain no longer
For now and ever we will be
In my heart in my soul I am out of control
Fly Across the mountains and towards the distant sun
Tears evermore, we cry like before
Feel the breakdown of my body
Set me free
Still lost within the misery and pain that lies inside
Here alone the fire to breathe still searching for the truth to be
Blackened by the burning fire held deep indise my mind
Across the seas their hearts will bleed this life we're waiting for
Taste the steel in pain you kneel for glory we defend
Our fallen douls will rise to fight again
Future in our hands we'll fight with freedom drawing near
Stand here with me for we stand and face it all
All hope is gone so carry on before the world will fall
Rise again to die in vain now life can never be the same
Our own salvation drawing nearer hear the darkness call
We're banished now to barren wastelands fight for the demon whore
Riding on throughblackened darkness cross the endless sands
We sail away our victory at hand
For now and ever we will be
Fly Across the mountains and towards the distant sun
Tears evermore, we cry like before
Feel the breakdown of my body
Set me free

maybe i'm wrong, but i always thought this song was about a couple. like they were all inlove when they were young, then some situation forced them apart until they found each other again years later. corny lol but it would be sweet
I suppose it could be about sex lol but i think it is about eternal love. And I'm not sure why but if its telling a story of a couple, of an eternal love then I have to go with Romeo and Juliet. Ofcourse that's just my humnle opinion.
Who the heck wrote the lyrics on this site?! It’s nothing like “Awash” and “Insanity”! Let me write the corrected lyrics from the CD (Album) and then I’ll give the meaning. You must take note that this song is the prologue to ‘Trail of Broken Hearts’.
Lyrics:
Silent screams and shattered dreams Of what we left at Seventeen Still lost within the misery And pain that lies inside Here alone the fight to breathe Still searching for the truth to be Blackened by the burning fire Held deep inside my mind
Far beyond the lost Horizon Standing on the shore Across the seas their hearts will bleed This life we’re waiting for Taste the steel in pain You kneel for glory we defend Our fallen souls will rise to fight again
Stay here with me This night we’ll be together Future in our hands We’ll fight with freedom drawing near Stand here with me For we will live forever Tonight we stand and face it all
(Chorus)
Falling rain will hide the pain That lies beneath the burning flames All hope is gone So carry on before the world will fall Rise again to die in vain Now life can never be the same Our own salvation drawing nearer Hear the darkness call
(Verse)
(Chorus)
Now the meaning...
First and foremost, this is the sister song (prologue song) to ‘Trail of Broken Hearts’. It’s a song about remembering and contemplating the resume of a previous relationship. In this case, one in which the protagonist had at Seventeen years of age. (That’s why I corrected the lyrics, because that age is a fundamental part of the song and its meaning.)
Eventually, the significant other feels the same way and addresses this to the protagonist. He/she then goes on to explain how they have felt about him/her up until that point. The protagonist is breaking down (physically and mentally) with the heartbreak of being alone and living with the stress of others.
Finally, the protagonist explains how they will work together to fight for what they want in life; and stop at nothing in the process! These prominent lyrics are backed up in the epilogue song ‘Trail of Broken Hearts’ because in that song, it becomes more of a ‘we’ song. Meaning that they have fought their way through things together (good and bad) and they can finally let the ‘broken’ past fade away as a distant memory!
Note: this is not a song entirely about sex. It may have references that COULD be appertained to sex, but nothing more.
@StrikingMagic77 Unfortunately, the song has the copyrights applied to it, meaning that to make any changes to the song, it has to get approval, and unless the lyrics are flat-out wrong (Like, horrendously wrong) it won't get changed.

awesome song!! I just discovered dragonforce; this is like the third song I've heard, but I can't believe how masterful they are at guitar and vocals. It sounds like this "battle" is a symbolic one within onesself...
Tough this is the wrong text it's one of the most advanced lyrics written by DF.
basist line halfway through those 2 riffs are so awesome not a bad player in this band awesome
Wow, this song is seriously underrated. Overall awesome track off the new album, and great lyrics.
df is the bestband to hit the scene in a while(concerts and stuff) i hope to hear more of their stuff.
This song is really awesome. It used to be my theme song actually.
It sounds like a story fitting in to the rest of the story album. More specifically a single soldier fighting with his comrades over the course of years or whatever, and he's hitting a breaking point, all the fighting and death gets to him and he feels "the breakdown of my body".
