DragonForce – Body Breakdown Lyrics | 5 years ago |
Who the heck wrote the lyrics on this site?! It is nothing like Awash and Insanity! Let me write the corrected lyrics from the CD (Album) and then I will give the meaning. You must take note that this song is the prologue to Trail of Broken Hearts. So you will see that the word Broken or Break in both songs is no coincidence. Lyrics... Silent screams and shattered dreams Of what we left at Seventeen Still lost within the misery And pain that lies inside Here alone the fight to breathe Still searching for the truth to be Blackened by the burning fire Held deep inside my mind Far beyond the lost Horizon Standing on the shore Across the seas their hearts will bleed This life we’re waiting for Taste the steel in pain You kneel for glory we defend Our fallen souls will rise to fight again Stay here with me This night we’ll be together Future in our hands We’ll fight with freedom drawing near Stand here with me For we will live forever Tonight we stand and face it all Chorus... Falling rain will hide the pain That lies beneath the burning flames All hope is gone So carry on before the world will fall Rise again to die in vain Now life can never be the same Our own salvation drawing nearer Hear the darkness call Verse... Chorus... Now for the meaning... First and foremost, this is the sister song, prologue song to Trail of Broken Hearts. It is a song about remembering and contemplating the resume of a previous relationship. In this case, one that the protagonist had at Seventeen years of age. That is why I corrected the lyrics, because that age is a fundamental part of the song and its meaning. Eventually, the significant other feels the same way and addresses this to the protagonist. He, and or she then goes on to explain how they have felt about him, and or her up until that point. The protagonist is breaking down physically and mentally with the heartbreak of being alone and living with the stress of others. Finally, the protagonist explains how they will work together to fight for what they want in life, and stop at nothing in the process. These prominent lyrics are backed up in the epilogue song Trail of Broken Hearts, because in that song, it becomes more of a ‘we’ song. Meaning that they have fought their way through things together, good and bad, and now at long last they can finally let the broken past fade away as a distant memory! Note... This is not a song entirely about sex. It may have references that COULD be appertained to sex, but nothing more. |

My Chemical Romance – Welcome To The Black Parade Lyrics | 5 years ago |
I have read the comments but this is how I perceive the meaning... To me it starts with a father taking his son to a marching Parade. The parade is a metaphor for death. Possibly the father’s. He can’t exactly tell his son that he is going to die soon, possibly because he is too young. So instead, he spends his last few days with him providing prominent advice and explaining the ‘Black Parade’ (death) in a diplomatic way. One in which the boy will likely comprehend and understand. In the end, I picture (in my head) that the father tells his son that he too is going to join the parade, and that he’ll see his son again in the distant future. Eventually, the boy waves goodbye as his father smiles and walks with the parade over the horizon. The boy, now growing up understands his father’s prominent words and “carries on” with his own life/family. That’s my take on it anyway! |
System of a Down – CUBErt Lyrics | 6 years ago |
I interpret this song as more than just a political song. To me it conveys a scenario in which QDTs (Quantum Dimensional Travellers) explore our 3 dimensional world and corrupt everything we know including our ignorance regarding other dimensions outside of our view! It feels like Cubert or CUBErt (the game) was used to demonstrate this. You see, outside of his 2 dimensional world (the screen) he is blissfully unaware that there are ‘humans everywhere’ looking into his world in an arcade with ‘popcorn everywhere’ being the messy world we live in! Now, if we apply that logic into our 3 dimensional space, who is to say that there isn’t a 4th Dimension looking in on us from an angle we can’t see? We are the humans but also the Cuberts in their world! If you think about this whole scenario it’s like a ‘pyramid mind fuck’!! Quantum Dimensional Travellers could be travelling through our world and we would never know? That is my interpretation of this song anyway. |
Slipknot – Override Lyrics | 6 years ago |
This really isn't an easy song to understand but I think I have finally have some sort of Interpretation. From reading the lyrics there are a lot of throw-offs. Basically, sentences that have no connection to other sentences. The song is obviously trying to lead the listener into thinking it's a religious song. Ghosts, dead, hell, God, mercy etc... But that's merely a throw-off. Deep down I feel that the song is trying to convey some form of habit breaking. Or trying to break free from something holding you back. In this case, it seems like the song is about loneliness and how things can break a person. Allow me to explain why... "All your dreams come with a price, so they own you But what did you expect? Was it too much to protect? Did you understand they had selfish intentions? And they were pulling you in opposite directions" This quote says a lot to me. All dreams come with a price and that is so true! The things we desire in life are usually to good to be true. For example, finding the perfect love. Usually a desire like that is just too much to protect. 9 times out of 10 people let you down and then pull you in opposite directions. Directions you do not want to go to. In doing all of this you realise how lonely you feel. But a strong urge lurks in us all. An urge to fight back and be the Override. Also notice how Corey says "we are the Override", this could imply that there are many of us out there who want to break the habits of self loathing. This is just my opinion though. |
Anne Murray – You Needed Me Lyrics | 6 years ago |
It's very clear what this song means, it isn't a romantic love song, it isn't a religious song and it isn't about a list and found love. It's actually a lot sweeter than all that. Allow me to explain... The song changes as it goes. At first it sounds like a love song, then it sounds like a religious song and then it sounds like a relationship between a parent. If anything, that last one is the closest to the meaning. It's the relationship between a mother and a child. Yes it's probably different to every listner but there is no doubt in my mind that this is what it is about. A mother guiding their child through life and then right at the end of it all when the mother passes, the child (now an adult) has now acknowledged all of this and is thanking the mother for everything. |
