The Memory Will Never Die Lyrics
I whisper in your ear
The words you want to hear
You fell the wind and it reminds you
It happens every time
You stop and close your eyes
You can’t deny what lives inside you
Well I know it’s all to see
What is meant to be
When yesterday’s so far behind you
Deep inside your soul though
I’m always there
(Chorus)
You made be believe
The day you surrendered to me
The memory will never die
The love that you gave
I’ll never throw it away
The memory will never die
The tides take a turn
Another lesson learned
I’m right here but still you wonder
But you say you need more
And it’s not what it was before
Your on your own and going under
Deep inside your soul though
I’m always there
(Chorus)
Whenever you wake up
Remember you gave up
All that you had from nothing at all
The bed that you lay in
Remember you made it
And nobody’s there to catch you when you fall
You made be believe
The day you surrendered to me
The memory will never die
The love that you gave
I’ll never throw it away
The memory will never die
You made me believe
The day you surrendered to me
The memory will never die
The love that you gave
I’ll never throw it away
The memory will never die
The words you want to hear
You fell the wind and it reminds you
It happens every time
You stop and close your eyes
You can’t deny what lives inside you

A song about a guy that gave a girl everything she wanted (I whisper in your ear the words you want to hear)
and she finally caved in and reciprocated and showed him love back (You made be believe the day you surrendered to me the memory will never die the love that you gave I'll never throw it away the memory will never die)
but didn't stay with him and gave up on them, (whenever you wake up remember you gave up)
But he is haunting her memories (Deep inside your soul though I'm always there)
then he is saying you reap what you sow (The bed that you lay in remember you made it)
and then he left her and / or moved on (And nobody's there to catch you when you fall)
i like this song, not my favorite but still not bad you know? it grows on you.
I listened to this song alot around when I graduated high school last year. it helped me remember the many great memories I had with my friends over the years. I think though its about a couple having to leave each other most likely for reasons beyond their control and trying not to forget the good times they had. I don't think it is referring to a break up because it sounds like he would not necessarily want to leave the relationship.
I heard this song last spring, a month before I moved to another city. It was the best spring of my life so far and even though lots of great things happened, I was always thinking about how hard it would be to move and leave all my friends.
This song reminds me, that even if I'm far away from my true friends the memories of all the fun we had together will never die! But there always is something negative. The memories can be a plague, espescially the happy ones...
When I feel like sh*t, this song can cheer me up and next time it will bring me down, because I can't let go all the beautiful people and I hate the new town I live in...
i like this song. its always good to remember the good times in relationship.
I actually think this is a negative song. I think it's about a man and a woman. When they get together she tells him that their memories will never die and they'll always be a part of each other. This turns out to be true but in a bad way, as her memories of such wonderful times gives her a constant reminder of what she gave up. He's always a part of her so she can never forget what she's lost. "Whenever you wake up Remember you gave up All that you had for nothing at all The bed that you lay in Remember you made it And nobody’s there to catch you when you fall" This reflects my view.
The songs about some one that had everything they wanted in a short term or long term goal. NOw they miss it.. Just a song raphsodizing there memories
I'm going with Jean-vic cause it makes me think of my one x-girlfriend did'nt want to stay with me cause her parents didnt want her to date so she gave me up to keep them happy, and i know she does'nt forget me cause she tries to get back together with me but i won't cause i know the same thing will happen again
I think this is a song about regrets. The person's significant other broke up with them so it's more or less about how they are saying they are gonna be missing them.
'Whenever you wake up Remember you gave up All that you had from nothing at all The bed that you lay in Remember you made it And nobody’s there to catch you when you fall' so they are saying you lost me, I may not be happy with it but neither will you when the time comes when you need me the most. Totally relatable for my past relationship. I will never forget all we went through but he's gonna miss me later on.
and also, at the beginning its " and i know its HARD to see" you had something else
