Proof Lyrics
well i dont think the focus is really on the lyrics on this song, its just meant to be a bit of fun.
I like the lyrics and the song. It's just about the simple value of friendship - just appreciating someone for being there and saying nothing :-)
Nice song.
Having just split up with my long-term GF, I feel awful and so alone. I hate the way I feel, and I try and blot that out by spending as much time as possible with my friends.
"hey, could you stand another drink? i'm better when i don't think, it seems to get me through."
^^^ I'm kinda like that now, asking my mates to stay for just one more so I don't have to go home and be alone. It's easier to take your mind off things when you're with people/drinking.
Fuck knows - maybe it's just a nice song with no real meaning.
I really like this song. Probably better check out more I Am Kloot.
Watch the video for this song, it's somewhere on YouTube. It stars ex-Doctor Who guy Christopher Eccleston, before he hit it big. It's kinda wierd, but watching it you can't help but smile :-)
before Christopher Eccleston hit the big time? or just before you got onto him on Dr Who? He's been big time for years before this song mate! anyway i love putting it on full blast when im driving...especially in the summer....great, simple song
I really love this song. This lyric is like a modern larkins "kick up the fire and let the flames break loose" something about prolonging the time with company so as not to be alone with your thoughts.
There are a few errors in the lyrics
"well, do you want to spin another lie?" should be "say, do you want to spin another lie?" both times
"what am i without you?" should be "who am i without you?" both times
actually, colincs1, you're wrong. both times.
those are the correct lyrics in the version that i have of the song, at least.

my version is the same as colincs1, so I would say that there are errors in the lyrics too.

the song is really beutiful. you would guess the lyrics are deep, but really, i think they aren't. this song gives me a good feeling though. your own feelings with a song are more important to me.
