Das Schützenfest

this song is about making love in the pigs' trough.....with a bavarian girl.....and a dog interfering....most probably.

In an interview with the German Gitarre und Bass magazine, Billy Gould said that the lyrics were written by a German friend called Wolfgang. So, I understand that it was handwritten and Mike Patton couldn't read all words properly.

That is why some words like "ute-ut" and "Superlochwel" don't make any sense in German. One can only guess what they mean. Whereas the other words can be understood more or less very well.

1. "Sie tanzt ute-ut": It could mean "um den Hut" (she dances "around the hat") or even "Sie tanzt ufftata", which would be the onomatopoeia/echoism of the rythm sound of Polka and Bavarian brass music.

2. "Oh Mädchen, tat mir ans Superlochwel ihren BH": "gab mir als Souvenir ihren BH" (gave me her bra as souvenir) or "gab mir als Spuckbeutel ihren BH" (gave me her bra as sickness bag).

I'm guessing too that the bavarian girl was probably named Madchen and they were at the Schutzenfest.

Actually.. Mädchen is German for girl. The line "Oh mein Bayerisches Mädchen" translates to 'Oh my Bavarian girl".

And yeah, it does say something about making love in a pig trough. "Wir machen Liebe, im Schweinetrog"..... And the part thats like "HUND WEG" is like saying "DOG WAY".

It doesn't actually seem to make a lot of sense when read correctly. "Sie machte aus meinem Herz, eine weisse Wurst" "She makes out of my heart, a white sausage" o.o

I saw the English translation for this one time and it has something to do with two men wrestling each other. "Das Schutzenfest" means "The Shooting Fest", or shoot fight/wrestling match.

hy, ehm ok, i´m a german so i´m able to translate the hole thing for you. but first, it is not good german they use, actually there are a lot of words that doesnt even excist. ok my english is not the best either.... but much "gooder" than that (just kidding) ´couse of that i think a view sentences dont make any sence in english too but lets see:
