This song is so, so beautiful. Absolutely heartbreaking at the same time, you can tell Joey Cape was hit so hard by the death of Derrick. Such a tragedy
I love this song. I read an interview with the capper and he said how this album is dedicated to Derrick (Lagwagons old drummer who passed away) and how Derrick left Lagwagon because Joey was writing to many songs about girls (emo lyrics). So this song is about Joey's girl, and its on this album because Derrick is the reason why Joey and her met. I love the lyric "But I had to write one for my better half" Kinda like he's explaining himself to Derrick, for writing a song about a girl on Derricks album. This song rocks
