Save all your prayers
I think we lost today
There's no morning after
No one's around to blame
I'm not afraid to bleed
But I won't do it for you
A star among hypocrites
The melody of our time
So say goodbye to the world
We are the dead that walk the earth
Scream your lungs out
Wait for laughter
You don't have to wait forever
It's the next disaster
What decides when you've lost a war
When the first man falls
Or when they've erased it all
We're too numb to feel
The downfall starts right here
Hold your breath and swim
Swallowed by life's tear
In times of make believe
No one really seems to care
Maybe I should care less
'Cause I will die too
So say goodbye to the world
We are the dead that walk the earth
Scream your lungs out
Wait for laughter
You don't have to wait forever
It's the next disaster
What will it take for us to realize
The more we provoke
Winter will come twice
Save all your prayers
I think we're lost today
There's no morning after
No one's around to blame
Scream your lungs out
Wait for laughter
You don't have to wait forever
Here's the next disaster
Scream your lungs out
Wait for Laughter
You don't have to wait forever
Here's the next disaster
I think we lost today
There's no morning after
No one's around to blame
But I won't do it for you
A star among hypocrites
The melody of our time
We are the dead that walk the earth
Wait for laughter
You don't have to wait forever
It's the next disaster
When the first man falls
Or when they've erased it all
The downfall starts right here
Hold your breath and swim
Swallowed by life's tear
No one really seems to care
Maybe I should care less
'Cause I will die too
We are the dead that walk the earth
Wait for laughter
You don't have to wait forever
It's the next disaster
The more we provoke
Winter will come twice
I think we're lost today
There's no morning after
No one's around to blame
Wait for laughter
You don't have to wait forever
Here's the next disaster
Wait for Laughter
You don't have to wait forever
Here's the next disaster

The collision of death metal voxs and melodic harmonies in this song is superb, what a song!
First off, In Flames is definitely the best metal band ever, when it comes to lyrics. Almost no other metal band has such thought-provoking lyrics. This song is definitely one of my favorites lyrically. Now in my oppinion i think all these people who think it's about natural desasters are wrong. I think it's about the pointlessness of war. There are a lot of "end of the world" references. I think it has to do with a lot of people's (specifically American's) views on war. I love the lines, "In times of make believe, no one really seems to care/Maybe I should care less, cause I'll die too." I think they're refering to people's desire to look away and "make beleive" everything is all-right. They have to force themselves not to care so they aren't so torn up about it inside. but looking away is just going to bring the end of the world/nuclear winter/etc.
there's a ton of minutia i could go into but i'll just leave it with my technical critique. Not one of their best song musically, but the flow goes with the theme and the lyrics are extremely powerful. thats why it's one of my favorites of theirs.
nice job, Akraz. These lyrics sound right to me
This song is about the nature striking back, the tsunami disaster last year especially.
I'm very pleased with this whole new album. they really accomplished what they promised, a more uptempo beat, but it still harkens back to the older days. to me most of these songs sound alot like clayman and whoracle. but thats just me. nice work. and i cant wait to see them live in the Come Clarity tour
This is about man's continued abuse of his environment in spite of the fact that it appears to be lashing back.
Great song.
Rather than "We are the dead-care watchers," I think it's "We are the dead that walk the earth." Not only does it make sense, it sounds exactly right.
ty shadow, =)
brilliant, especially the female vocals
The female vocals are sung by swedish singer Lisa Miskovsky, and yes, although I´m not her biggest fan, she makes this song brilliant :) Plus Lisa is a talanted snowboard rider, she gains much respect from me there ;)
The whole new album is great, I´m gonna buy it as soon as I get the money needed :)
