Wo Bist Du (English) Lyrics
I love you
I love you not
I love you no more
I love you no more or less than you
Than you loved me
When you still loved me [1]
The pretty girls are not pretty
The warm hands are so cold
All clocks have stopped
It's no longer healthy to laugh, and soon
I'll look for you behind the light
Where are you?
I don't want to be so alone
Where are you?
The pretty girls are not pretty
The warm hands are so cold
All clocks have stopped
It's no longer healthy to laugh, and soon
I look for you behind the light
Where are you?
I don't want to be so alone
Where are you?
I look for you under every stone
Where are you?
I fall asleep with a knife
Where are you?
[1] The first few lines build on each other by adding only a word or two, yet changing the meaning of all the lines said up to this point. It can't really be fully translated.

love this song... great lead up at the beginning, slow but energizing
and who says rammstein cant write meaningful songs? in my opinion, they write some of the most emotional slow songs.
It seems to be about a couple that is no longer connected, there´s no trust or interest. love this song
I think the girl thing is to easy.. Its kinda like like a stone by Audioslave, it seams to be about love but is actually about fear of dying. Same thing here almost: Till is said to be troubled with depresions and that fits this song perfectly! The girls are not pretty anymore and the hands are not warm? theres no joy in life in other words. And seeking behind the light and so on could mean looking for a deeper meaning in life. religion or God probably, something that will make life better:)
How nice of you not to credit the site you took the translation from - http://herzeleid.com/en/lyrics/rosenrot/wo_bist_du
The emotions from this song are very strong.
read the note at the bottom. Remember that its sung in german. Languages can't translate COMPLETELY to another language. What you see is as CLOSE as it can come. but not exact.
The beggining isn't supposed to sound good in english. Its supposed, and DOES sound good to the german ear.
True, but in this case it is more of a case of a bit sloppy translation. English and German come from the same branch in terms of language, they can be used around each other. While not a 100% certainty, a german, an english man and a norwegian for that matter can actually to some extent comprehend each other by the similarities in the names of things.

love and liebe for example are easy to unverstand.

I think this is about someone that cheated on their girlfriend/wife and so they left him and so he realizes how much he loved her and wants her back.
Lyrics are in German, not English. Am I the first to notice that? Duh
Wanted the English translation.
While this song might look like a regular love song, i.e. someone searching for his ex-lover, the last line of the lyrics changes everything. This is about a stalker, someone out to hurt/kill the person he's trying to find. Which is a typical Rammstein dark song subject.
I'm sorry, but the grammar is terrible in the beginning, and it bothers me.
I love you." I don't love you. I don't love you anymore."
