The Thin Red Line Lyrics
Let go!
I don't know
I don't know
How to save you
Breathe into your lungs it's almost over now
Let go!
Hold on tight
Don't let go
I could save you
I could save you
I can't save you anymore
I'll take it back and hold my breath (hold my breath)
I'm breaking my fist on the wall next to your door
On bended knee I'll pray for you (pray for you)
On angels wings we'll find what we've been looking for
Let go!
Moving fast
Moving slow
My head's spinning
Mixed emotion over desperate persevere
Hold on tight
Don't let go
I could save you
I could save you
I can't save you anymore
I'll take it back and hold my breath (hold my breath)
I'm breaking my fist on the wall next to your door
On bended knee I'll pray for you (pray for you)
On angels wings we'll find what we've been looking for
On angels wings
I'll take it back and hold my breath (hold my breath)
I'm breaking my fist on the wall next to your door
On bended knee I'll pray for you (pray for you)
On angels wings we'll find what we've been looking for.
I don't know

i love this song....i bought all of the masters of chaos album for this song and deleted the rest of the songs off itunes
The first line of the song is actually "Micheal!" not "Let Go!". That should be corrected. The song is about Micheal (Torry Jasper's [lead singer] uncle) and his death.
Like furyinhereyes said, it's probably about someone who is slowly losing a loved one. And they don't know really what to feel, hence the "mixed emotion over desperate perservere" line. But this person wants their loved one to stay and is doing all they can, they are "On bended knee (praying) for (them)". And they wish they could save this person but they can't.
I know I'm a little late to the party but this is what I got out of it (Basicly what furyinhereyes said but expanded upon)
It's about a guy dealing with someone he is close to about to die, I have no idea what so I'll just use cancer as an example.
"I don't know...how to save you" - How many of us would know what do if a loved one was diagnosed with cancer?
"Hold on tight...don't let go...I can save you...I can't save you anymore" - Encouraging that person not to give up and that things will get better by being there with that person and then finally realizing that nothing that you can do will help and it's out of your hands.
"I'll take it back and hold my breath" - Getting the bad news and just taking a second to process it all.
"I'm breaking my fist on the wall next to your door" - If you had someone on a hospital bed tell you that they had cancer I'm sure you'd want to punch something too. And I'm sure after receiving the news you'd go outside of their hospital room to have a second to process and to react without the worry of even further freaking them out. I know the first time I looked at it this way I pictured myself doing the exact same thing if I found out a loved one had cancer.
"On bended knee I'll pray for you...On angel's wings we'll find what we've been looking for" - If you're a religious person I'm sure praying would be one of the first things you did after hearing the news. And then accepting that you know that person if religious also will go onto what they've been looking for all along (God and Heaven).
"My head's spinning...mixed emotion over desperate perservere" - Trying to come to grips with it all. Knowing that being there for that person and helping as much as possible to help them make it probably won't be enough.
