Liar

I don't really know if this is right or not, but it crossed my mind the first time I heard this song.

Now, Jon Davis's half-brother was the singer for Adema, but, he left...I personally don't know why.

So, I got this impression mostly from the "My brother, you love her But don't give up your instincts" parts

Perhaps, he was influenced to leave Adema by a woman, and, Jon is pretty much saying "What the...hell?"

Well I may as well say it before someone else does. This song seems like its too Head telling him that he's lying to himself thinking that he doesn't need the band and that he can "throw water on the fire" and they're saying hes a liar, and asking "how he can deny this flood thats flowing through him" a lot of the lines seem to point to this song being directed at Head or someone in a similar situation, saying the person is lying to themselves.

I dont know if I would say that this song is directed toward Head specifically, b/c mainly for the fact that Head left to be a christian, not for a woman. My interpretation is that a woman has came between best friends and the friend that was left for her is telling the other friend how he truly feels. And how his friend has changed and isnt the same awesome guy to hang out with. Dont get me wrong though, it might be about Head, but I dont think so. I mean just read the whole first verse. "... they're trained to seduce you..." and even the first line "My brother, you love her..."

Maybe the woman in the song is a metephor for blind faith.

Hey you You're saying that she's all that you desire Liar Hey you You think you can throw water on this fire Liar (If this is directed at Head: He and the rest of Korn have been playing together and had a close friendship for well over a decade, then he just up and left [and according to Jon, started "a bunch of drama", but i'm not sure of that one]. You don't just turn your back on your brothers, ever.)

On that note, I hope they're all still on good terms. It would suck to let something as trivial as a difference of faith come between friendship and brotherhood, because that's a horrible thing to waste.

maybe when he says "my brother you love her" he is meaning 'her' as in the religion and someone has put all this false information in his head and there just trying to suck him dry make him become someone else.

i think its like musicfan said earlier, a woman has come between two close friends could be wrong though

In my opinion, this is the only song on the album that doesn't suck. I bet it will probably be their next single too since they actually played it live at the last concert I went to at the beginning of December.

this song is actually getting radio play even though its not a single next. it will prob. be the next single after coming undone is released.
