This song seems like its too Head telling him that he's lying to himself thinking that he doesn't need the band and that he can "throw water on the fire" and they're saying hes a liar, and asking "how he can deny this flood thats flowing through him" a lot of the lines seem to point to this song being directed at Head or someone in a similar situation, saying the person is lying to themselves.
