Don't Forget Me

I think this song is about someone whose SO is breaking up with them. They are willing to accept it, but wants the other person to remember him/her the way they will remember him/her.

I love this song...I agree with enjoythesilence...I reckon it about a couple breaking up but they will always remember each other.

I think its about 2 lovers or mates that only get one chance to see each other before they depart from each other (either they live far from each other ...or even death ) kind of a reminder of one persons love to another even though they depart from each other for even the last time or til the next time they will be able to see each other in the future possibly.

I actually believe (or want to believe) this song is about a dieing person who says goodbye to the one he/she loves, and not a broking up pair or something.

I think it's about someone who is completely more in love with someone then they could ever be with them. The feelings are there, for one of them atleast, and it was never admited, and now due to circumstances the person he or she is infactuated with is leaving. The last chance to say everything, but in a sad sort of way, that person will never think of you as much as you think of them. Haha I know I sound like i'm Personilizing but that's what I thought, they'll never see how many stars were in your eyes, but you always knew how many were in theirs.

Ahh.. this is such a sad song.. :( i think it's about something he did (cheating?), which she found out about, and then she had to end it because he hurt her so much, "Theres just one thing that i need to say before i close my eyes and walk away Theres just one thing that I need to feel Before I walk away against my will" So she needs to talk about it with him, and has to walk away and close her eyes to hold in the crying maybe? and walking away against her will is him basically making her walk away, she doesnt want to, but what he's done hurt too much and she knows its the better thing to do. Aside from him hurting her so much, she doesnt want him to just forget her (kinda obvious...) because at one point they ment so much to each other. everythign still reminds her of him cause it was a recent break up.. maybe i've looked into it too much..? beautiful song none the less :)

This song perfectly typifies my life at the moment. The man who, in so many ways, is the love of my life and I have split up for reasons that are almost impossible to define. Our backgrounds and upbringing are so different, poles apart even, that we are continually blind sided by issues which to one party is neither here nor there but monumental to the other and we fight constantly. At the beginning the physical side was enough to override these issues, but now, post honeymoon period the cracks are showing. I would do anything to be with him but unfortunately the things that I need to change - and similarly for him - are so hard wired from our early years that that is impossible. And this song is exactly what I want to say to him.

I think the line: "Before I walk away against my will" has to do with something that she is not in control of. So in that sense, I agree with whoever thinks this song is about death. In relationships, you make choices... you are always in control. But when someone dies, you can't control the situation. I donno.
