Wash Away Lyrics
Sad memories the gathering rain brings
I loved her but I'll never see her again
Clouds raise their heads in the morning
the way I once walked on by her
But now she's gone and I'll never raise my face again
White horses dragged my lover from me
the clouds rushed in and drowned my sorrow with the rain
My friends try to lift me
they understand how I'm feeling
but the truth holds me down
she came and went with the rain
White horses dragged my lover from me
The clouds rushed in and drowned my sorrow...
with the rain
Now always the storms come...
Raindrops run down my windows
All that's left is her picture
but someday it to will
wash away...
wash away...
I watched her walk away,
with the rain
I loved her but I'll never see her again
Clouds raise their heads in the morning
the way I once walked on by her
But now she's gone and I'll never raise my face again
the clouds rushed in and drowned my sorrow with the rain
they understand how I'm feeling
but the truth holds me down
she came and went with the rain
The clouds rushed in and drowned my sorrow...
with the rain
Raindrops run down my windows
All that's left is her picture
but someday it to will
wash away...
wash away...
I watched her walk away,
with the rain

Yeah TSOL are awesome and this song is one of their best. BUT Alkaline trio did a brilliant job of covering it.
where can I get this song? I've never heard of it before...
Bleh, This is one of the many god-awful covers of classic punk songs on the new tony hawk game.
this was originally by TSOL, on the album "Beneath The Shadows". But I doubt most people who hear this song dont know its a cover let along who TSOL is.
No need to crap on the song just because its a cover. Alkaline Trio (besides making their own AMAZING music) does awesome covers actually, this being one of them. I'm not saying that all of the covers on the album are worth checking out, but this one is. I do, though, recommend checking out TSOL....good stuff!
i think it's a good little cover
i thiink alkaline trio also did a good job with that damned cover on the one man army split
this in no way compares to the original but alkaline trio did a very good job of it.
And it is also one of the few good covers on the THAW soundtrack
I dunno. Though I love TSOL I think I like what Alkaline Trio did with this song more. Matt Skiba's voice is smoother, and I think the instruments are more distinct.
Moving on: To me, this song could be one of two things. One, a guy who's sad because his girlfriend/lover died. Or, two, he views it as her being dragged away because he's in denial, like he thinks that it's somehow not her fault.
This song is one of the few good covers on the soundtrack. The other good ones are: Institutionalized-Senses Fail Suburban Home/I Like Food-Taking Back Sunday (Descendants) Astrozombies-My Chemical Romance (Misfits) Search And Destroy-Emanuel The Stooges) Sonic Reducer-Saves The Day
By the way, anyone else notice the similarity between the album cover and The Clash's London Calling? Pretty sweet.

HurHur I think that was the point...
