I set down the dream with the rain boots
And decided to ride out the storm
Now I can't recall how to welcome the light
And I can't see not window or door

It's these four walls of mine
How they change colors
How they'd sing to me sometimes
So dark the verse, so comfortable the tune
Seduced to nothing
Just a servitude in size
All-seeing bloodshot eyes

Bruise colored our lives
Dreams that never stood a chance
We've been subtracting in the dark
Now in the dark is where we dance
To radio violence
Communicated, filters through
A lost transmission on repeat
No one else is listening to

If I went dark tonight
Would I change colors?
Go from tip to tails in white
To southern stumbles soaked in rage by midnight
We saw it coming
A misfortune-teller knew
Made sure it all came true

Bruise colored our lives
Dreams that never stood a chance
We've been subtracting in the dark
Now in the dark is where we dance
To radio violence
Communicated, filters through
A lost transmission on repeat
No one else is listening to
But you

Bruise colored our lives
Dreams all soaked and innocent
We're left alone here in the dark
As in the dark was where we met
Through radio violence
Communicated, filters through
A lost transmission on repeat
No one else is listening to

General CommentI sorta wonder why he says "take MY radio". if I was him, I'd want her to take her own god damn radio.

General CommentBasically he is sick and tired of the attitude of this Bitch that he used to like but she hurt him really bad so he just wants her to basically die now. He still dreams about her but then when he realizes that it was just a dream he is relieved because he doesn't want anything to do with her. He's so frustrated with her he just wants to kill himself sometimes. This song isn't like most of theres but I like it a lot.

General Commentalkaline trio. probably one of the only bands to put the line 'shaking like a dog shitting razorblades, and get away with it. i love this song, its pretty bitter- good break up song.

General CommentThis is probably one of the best all-time break-up songs that's in the "I-wish-that-you'd-fucking-die-you-rat-bastard" stage of the break-up. Its freakin' beautiful.

General CommentA beautifully written song for the men (and women) out there who rip someones heart out after putting it back in for them. Absolutely the best line, for me at least, "while you're taking your time with apologies, I'm making my plans for revenge". Alk3 is abso-frieking-lutely the best for break up songs....
