It doesn't matter where you are, It doesn't matter where you go If it's a million miles away or just ten miles up the road Take it in , Take it with you when you go
These lyrics mean so much to me. So many people think that to really experience life, you have to travel to exotic places or have an interesting career. These things are important and worthwhile, but so are the small things in life. These lyrics are saying that a person can get as much out of a simple trip across the street to see a friend as they could get traveling across the world. Wherever a person finds him or herself, true happiness comes from realizing life as you live it and understanding the power of each individual experience.
There is so much wisdom in these lyrics.
this song is simply perfect..<3
Wow. I really want to get out of New York and go places...but this song really shaped me up a little. Though i still want to visit other places.
This awesome song can basically be explained in the saying, "You don't know what you've got till it's gone." It's about wanting more, and more, and then realizing how happy you were when you were home, with the friends and family and familiarity you love, and finding out that you can always go home to that. That, wherever the people who truly love and care about you are, you can always go home to them, and they will welcome you with open arms....
