To me this song means, if your going to love, your going to get hurt. If you want to love, you might as well be asking for cruelty, and begging for mercy, like the lines in the song. That's just what it means to me... Anywho, once again another great HIM song.
This is one of the songs that have been a part of me so long. It opened my eyes for HIM; and metal. Maybe I was 10 when I saw the vid for the first time, and for years after that I searched after them, but I did not know what the song or band was called. But manny years later, I saw the vid at TV, and days after I bought my first HIM cd. I fell in love with a band.
The lyrics, vocal and music is just perfect. It will always be my favorite song...
I love these lines from the song, "Three little words And a question - Why?" HIM are an amazing band, Ville is an amazing song writer. I will NEVER stop loving this band, they never cease to amaze me.

This song is pure poetry. Its absolutely amazing.
well on 'Love Metal Archives' (really amazing dvd) Ville says that FOH is about that all things come to and end - but that their ending should be celebrated, not mourned. he also stated that he wasn't sad at his grandma's funeral cos he remembered all the good things about her. that's what this songs about:) yay i absolutely love it. the video is so awesome too.
