Al Genina (Leave The Light On) Lyrics
Fell asleep today
North Ontario
Woke up far away
A place I didn’t know
A woman smiled at me
She said, "welcome to my home"
Life is different here she said it's not
Camouflage with gold
And hey, leave a light on for me
And hey, leave a light on for me
Might not make it home
Can't leave here tonight
Not afraid to live
Not afraid to die
And hey, leave a light on for me
And hey, leave a light on for me
North Ontario
Woke up far away
A place I didn’t know
A woman smiled at me
She said, "welcome to my home"
Life is different here she said it's not
Camouflage with gold
And hey, leave a light on for me
And hey, leave a light on for me
Might not make it home
Can't leave here tonight
Not afraid to live
Not afraid to die
And hey, leave a light on for me
And hey, leave a light on for me

I KNEW IT! I KNEW WHEN I READ THE FACT THAT THIS WAS ABOUT A TRIP TO SOMEWHERE SOMEONE WOULD MENTION GEORGE BUSH AND IRAQ. IT HAPPENS ON HALF THE SONGS ON THIS FUCKING SITE.
The lyrics are like a poem...
Al Genina is a town in Sudan.
I didn't know that...
Lyrics are pretty easy to undertand then.
The lyrics aren't entirely correct. Below is the correction, just regarding 3 lines (lines 7-9 of shelmerdinefan72's post). And don't flood up the lyrics section by reposting these under a new song title. If you wanna have them alter what was posted fine else don't make a mess like tons of idiots do. thx and enjoy the corrections.

I like this song.
On the DualDisk of the new album and there's a feature called "Making of the Album" or something, ike that. On it, Raine said this song was about (and I'm typing this through what I remember he said, so it may not be entierly correct) his trip(s) overseas. He was just sleeping, and when he woke up at the end of the plane ride, everything was different than from home. "leave a light on for me" means that he may return there one day to help the people there again, because he felt like he was abandoning them. he had to leave because he and Chantal had a son.
