Will The Future Blame Us Lyrics
Ooh hoo
Ooh hoo
Are you dissapointed?
And have we destroyed it I
But I've been stomping down this long and winding road
And these times are changin
And it's complicated I
I don't wanna know
And I
Don't ask why anymore
And I
Don't ask why anymore, anymore
Ooh hoo
Ooh hoo
And is it getting better?
And can we live forever I
And I'm not sure what the hell we're fighting for
And does the money make us?
And will the future blame us I
I don't wanna know
And I
Don't ask why anymore
And I
Don't ask why anymore, anymore
When you're tired and alone
And you feel like letting go
Come home
When you can't take anymore
When you're beat up and ignored
Come home
The sun inside the hall
The faster you don't know
A long, long way from home
The things you need to know
The answers leave you cold
You're a long, long way from home
And the summers coming back
It brings a second chance
If you're not part of this
Then I don't wanna know!
Ooh hoo
Ooh hoo
And I
Don't ask why anymore
And I
Don't ask why anymore
When you're tired and alone
And you feel like letting go
Come home
When you can't take anymore
When you're beat up and ignored
Come home
I'm coming home
Ooh hoo
And have we destroyed it I
But I've been stomping down this long and winding road
And these times are changin
And it's complicated I
I don't wanna know
Don't ask why anymore
And I
Don't ask why anymore, anymore
Ooh hoo
And can we live forever I
And I'm not sure what the hell we're fighting for
And does the money make us?
And will the future blame us I
I don't wanna know
Don't ask why anymore
And I
Don't ask why anymore, anymore
And you feel like letting go
Come home
When you're beat up and ignored
Come home
The faster you don't know
A long, long way from home
The things you need to know
The answers leave you cold
You're a long, long way from home
And the summers coming back
It brings a second chance
If you're not part of this
Then I don't wanna know!
Ooh hoo
Don't ask why anymore
And I
Don't ask why anymore
And you feel like letting go
Come home
When you're beat up and ignored
Come home

This song is gonna rock. It's gonna be my fav on the CD.
Also, the song was originally called "Don't Ask Why" and was somewhat a piano version.
Here's the proper lyrics, straight from the Our Lady Peace site:
Are you disappointed and have we destroyed it all I’ve been stumbling down this long and winding road These times are changing and it’s complicated Well I don’t wanna know
And I don’t ask why anymore And I don’t ask why anymore, anymore
And is it getting better, can we live forever I’m not sure what the hell we’re fighting for Does the money make us, and will the future blame us Oh I don’t wanna know
And I don’t ask why anymore And I don’t ask why anymore, anymore
When you’re tired and alone and you feel like letting go Come home When you can’t take anymore, when you’re beat up and ignored Come home
You’re the sun inside the hole ,the past that you don’t know A long, long way from home There are things you need to know, the answers leave you cold You’re a long, long way from home The summer’s coming back and it brings a second chance If you’re not part of this then I don’t wanna know
And I don’t ask why anymore And I don’t ask why anymore, anymore
When you’re tired and alone and you feel like letting go Come home When you can’t take anymore, when you’re beat up and ignored Come home
You’re coming home
Again, I think this song is pretty much about what's going on in the middle-east.
I'm not sure if it is or not. It all depends on when Raine went to Africa - I thought he went last year.
This song originally was made in 2003, and it had the same chorus. But the rest of the lyrics could have obviously changed since then.
I do agree that this CD is mostly about the middle east.
this song is about the middle east just as much as its about North Korea or Congo or Cambodia or 9/11 there is nothing in the song that indicates a specific war zone. i think its about our detirioration as a species.
i do agree this is a political song but i also interpret it as being about a relationship ending and wondering whether you made the right decision or whether youl wake up one day alone blaming your younger self for throwing away the best thing yu ever had. i find all the lyrics fit with this interpretation.awsome song
Good song. And I think the answer is "Yes"
does anyone else think "come home" means to GO to the middle east or anywhere that's AWAY from where we are... cuz raine said that the culture shock wasnt from GOING to the middle east, it was coming home and i think coming home just means being able to get away from all the crap thats deteriorating north american society right now how does that sound?
Raine went to Iraq by the way. I read it in an interview about the new album. this, like all of the songs from Healthy in Paranoid Times, is unbelieveable, and very powerful.
I don't get very much political such and so out of this song... And I usually get political refferences alot. All this song says to me is "Will the future looks back at our generation as a good thing or a bad thing?"
