I Had A Good Time

I only heard this song once on the radio, and it immediately became my favorite Boston song. Amazing is a good word to describe it. It's a very radio friendly song but the stations just don't play it. There's not much to say about the lyrics. They are pretty basic, but it doesn't matter for a song like this. It's all about the fun of turning up the volume and enjoying the sounds.

"hey you can be so unfair, and you know, i will remember, you said you'd always be there when you go" -the guy got hurt and is saying how unfair the girl can be. he's remembering how she promised she'd always be there for him. "hey i wanted you to know, i wish you were mine, and I, just wanted you to know, I had a good time" -he still wishes she was his even though he was hurt by her and wants her to know that despite everything, he had a good time with her. my favorite part of the whole song though is actually a part that's sort of mumbled. it goes, "hey, you know what you want, well maybe love is blind, it's all right, it's cool, i just want you to know, i had a really good time". he's saying here that she knows what she's after and what she wants, and that love IS blind because he fell for her and got hurt when he didn't expect to. these lyrics are so beautiful. so is the song in general. BOSTON RULES!!! =]

to me, this song is about a guy who went out with this girl and got dumped but now he's looking back saying that He still cares about her and always will. He sees her with another man after the breakup and he's not bitter. He's saying "I want you but if we're forsed to move on, I want you to know that I had a good time[with you while it lasted]

This song reminds me of a girl I dated briefly in college. Can't remember why the relationship ended, but I feel great inside whenever she crosses my mind. So Jessica, wherever you are, "I want you to know I had a really good time!"
