In The Bathroom Is Where I Want You Lyrics
Break it out, just break it out
don't hesitate, the dialate
what's your name, what do you do
I'm not that kind of man but I'll make an exception for you
We're flexed and pressed for time alone
Don't stall in the stall
I want to do a little
I want to do it all
But now wait, wait
I'm a gentleman in training
Wait, wait
I'm a professional in feigning love
So go slow
Just go slow
Voluptuous and finely cut
What will it take to get you up
And dance with me in wistful heat
In this little club between A and B
We're flexed and pressed for time alone
Don't stall in the stall
I want to do a little
I want to do it all
But now wait, wait
I'm a gentleman in training
Wait, wait
I'm a professional in feigning love
And in the bathroom is where I want you
Against the grafiti wall we know no law at all
Just to see you body in a place so tacky
There's no better irony in my own deprevity
So go slow
Go slow
I do want to be in love
I do want to fall in love but I just don't know how to
I do want to be in love
I do want to be in love but I just don't know how to
I don't know how to
And in the bathroom is where I want you
Against the grafiti wall we know no love at all
Just to see you body in a place so tacky
There's no better irony in my own deprevity
So just go slow
don't hesitate, the dialate
what's your name, what do you do
I'm not that kind of man but I'll make an exception for you
Don't stall in the stall
I want to do a little
I want to do it all
I'm a gentleman in training
Wait, wait
I'm a professional in feigning love
So go slow
Just go slow
What will it take to get you up
And dance with me in wistful heat
In this little club between A and B
Don't stall in the stall
I want to do a little
I want to do it all
I'm a gentleman in training
Wait, wait
I'm a professional in feigning love
Against the grafiti wall we know no law at all
Just to see you body in a place so tacky
There's no better irony in my own deprevity
So go slow
Go slow
I do want to fall in love but I just don't know how to
I do want to be in love
I do want to be in love but I just don't know how to
I don't know how to
Against the grafiti wall we know no love at all
Just to see you body in a place so tacky
There's no better irony in my own deprevity
So just go slow

I think its about knowing the difference between love and lust. He's saying he wants to have sex with this girl right now, which is passionate and quite naturalistic. But then he says "i want to fall in love, but i don't know how to", which suggests he is looking for more than just animalistic sex, but cannot find it, so he settles for having her in the bathroom ;D if that makes sense at all...
songmeanings really needs a delete comment feature! sorry about posting twice
uh.. obviously about screwing in the bathroom. but perhaps wanting a tad more. great song.
these lyrics are strange because at one point he's saying "just go slow..." but at the same time he wants her in the bathroom like right now. and in the bit where it goes "wait, wait i'm a gentleman in training..." it sounds as though he is battling with how he wants her right now and how he wants to fall in love with her and take it slow.
Basically, he's just a hormone raged boy. His head is saying "Wait... I wanna fall in love..." and all that great stuff, but his... well you know... wants her in the bathroom now.
Definetly agree with everyone else. About a guy who wants to keep a long-term relationship with boundaries and respect. But then again, there's always going to be that want to just screw it and go for it. Whether he gets the girl in the end or not..
yeah, i'd agree. he's having a one night stand and on the one hand he wants to, but on the other he feels odd about it, because he's missing the emotional part of a relationship.
i think some of the "go slow" stuff might be a little bit "toungue and cheek" don't you think?
Kinda reminds me of the lyrics for Sic Transit Gloria.. "Just to see you body in a place so tacky There's no better irony in my own deprevity"
I love those lines..
It's the irony of teenagers. Desiring the Ultimate Love, the thing they make movies and songs about, but getting hormones, depravity, and something that is definatly not love. But the experience to be a "gentleman" comes with practice, thus without the time of trial and error there is no way of getting it right. And the whole problem is cliched so it's (once again) wonderfully ironic. Go slow... best advice ever, no one listens. One more time, just for fun: i r o n y :D
