One of the best Celldweller songs. I'm surprised nobody has made comments on it yet. I'm pretty sure its about Klayton not wanting someone to go away from him, and hes sorry for whatever he's done, and he just wants the girl back.

i agree, one of his best songs. But i think it seems more complicated than that... like he seems to be having most of the struggle within himself. "desperately trying to understand why i will push you from me" so i don't know... it seems like he has a lot of inner conflict.

Borderline Personality Disorder, also knows as "I hate you, please don't leave" disorder.

He doesn't know how his brain started misfiring like this, and he doesn't know why he can't stop it, but he can see the cycle begining anew with another relationship.

At least, that's how it sounds to me, I could be biased as I myself have BPD. It's definately not cool.

this song has a link to "stay with me (unlikely)" in that klay uses the same contradiction in the song:

"I want you to go Away from (me) I want you so much to Stay with (me)"

in "stay with me (unlikely)", he says

"Stay with me, please don't go",

and then, later, says

"I'd rather you go away"

... notice the connection?

I always love how the girl says a lyric, before Klay sings the lyric in the next song on the album.

This song is about inner conflict. Celldweller is a deeper lyricist than alot of people take him for. But in MANY MANY songs of his, he says something along the lines of, "go away i hate you, but stay with me, cuz i need you". inner conflict! And my theory, again, is his struggle with his Christianity.

This song is definitely about Borderline Personality Disorder. Nytestorm hit the nail on the head.
