Invisible Ink Lyrics

I wrote your name on the wall
with blood red aerosol
isn´t that just what you wanted
I drew your face on to my notepad
with invisible ink
isn´t that just what you're scared of
cursing the gender
cursing it for it´s temper

we don´t feel like girls do
we don´t feel like they do

I carved your name on every tree
in the whole wide world
isn´t that just what you wanted
I forgot to ask can I write a song about you
with invisible ink
isn´t that just what you're scared of
cursing the gender
cursing it for it´s temper

I´m yours for life
though I don´t scream it out

wo no-one has comented on any of the disco ensemble stuff! this song i feel means a few different things

1 - the way that men dont understand the way us girls work... 'we dont feel like girls do' and 'cursing the gender/cursing it for its temper'. this guys girl has got really angry with him, and he doesnt understand quite what the problem is - maybe the problem is this second reason...

  1. 'I wrote your name on the wall/with blood red aerosol...' and 'i carved your name on every tree/in the whole wide world...' i think this means that the guy wants everyone to know how much he loves this girl - he wants to tell everyone. But maybe she wants it kept a secret, or just doesnt want it broadcast everywhere. perhaps that is why he goes on to sing about invisible ink. I think he feels a bit bitter, maybe she is ashamed of him - but he wants everyone to know!

i think the last phrase could be a bit of a dig at the girl, he says he wont scream it out - altho he still loves her.

yeah...when i heard it i thought that he was talking about a guy instead of a girl...and cursing girls while talking to this guy. in saying 'we' it sort of says he's with this other guy.

I think the opposite: the girl is the one who wants that her guy tells everyone how much he loves her, but the guy doensnt like the idea: "I wrote your name on the wall / with blood red aerosol /isnt that just what you wanted / I drew your face on to my notepad with invisible ink isnt that just what you're scared of"

The guy is "cursing the gender" and even says sarcastically: "Oh, I forgot to ask can I write a song about you?" -girls often dream of song-writing boys who express their love. I think the whole point is how this guy loves the girl , but doesn't understand why the girl wants everybody to know it, this basic 'why dont you tell me more often you love me' : "Im yours for life / though I dont scream it out."

I think the lyrics are awesome, very realistic!
