This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines:

also about stephen king's "dark tower series." it's about a monorail train, named blaine, who is losing his/its sanity and only loves riddles. he makes a dead with the gunslinger and his ka-tet that if they can give him a riddle he can't solve, he'll take them through the wastelands safely. if not, he's going to derail at the end and kill them all.
So this might sound crazy, but I was just watching the video for this song. Look in the background in some of the scenes when Jon is playing in the train. In some of the shots, you can see someone over his shoulder singing in the background. It's clearly not Hansi. I actually think it's Tim Owens. Anybody else think so? You can find the video on Google if you haven't seen it.
You know, Rock Hawk, I think you may be right. I just checked it out then and if you're talking on the guy standing on that balcony in some shots. The mystery guy hasn't got long hair, just like Ripper. Considering Ripper sings for Iced Earth now I think it's entirely possible they just did it for a bit of fun.
Yea, that's who i mean, Hybrid. The camera never gets close enough to tell for sure, and the best shots of him come during the 2nd and 3rd choruses (approx 2:30 and 4:00). It does look like him from afar, and I think it would be a subtle reference for him to be there, especially since each time he appears over Jon's shoulder.
