Get Old or Die Trying Lyrics

Everyone always talks about the good days
Before the trouble came
They broke up something that was never complete
Mid-twenties depression or a quarter life crisis
Make the list of demands what do you want
Yeah, what do you want?

"Take a look at me"
As they're sinking deep
Sunday afternoon
Watch out for the camera that watches your every move
You're so pink so just change your ways
Sunday afternoon
So sad

When you get to the end well then it's over
And you might always want more
Here's the latest, let the eye rolling begin

"Take a look at me"
As they're sinking deep
You've got to let it be
Got to let it be
On a Sunday afternoon
So sad

Okay, I have a theory that this song is about The Beatles. "good old days" -that would be how everyone talks about the days when they were starting out, just getting famous, and everyone thought they were happy little guys. "broke up something that was never complete/mid-twenties depression"- they were all in their mid-twenties when they broke up... "make a list of demnads" reminds me of the Let It Be movie when George is getting pissed at Paul and says he will play whatever he wants, just give him the word. "camera that watches your every move"-in the case of Let It Be, there were cameras there everyday capturing them "when you get to the end and then it's over and you might always want more"- I thought of getting to "The End" on Abbey Road, which is the last song.
