I feel chained, chained down
You shoved me to the ground
I can't run, I can't shout
Just let me out

So heartless, this couldn't mean less
Gonna push it in your face
I'm only human
And I've got something to say

Let me rise, let me fall
Let me breathe
I wanna lose control, I'm not afraid to lose it all
Let me break, let me crawl
'Cause I'll get back up again if you let me fall

If I burn down in this fire
Well, I got myself to blame
I can't stop or give it up
I need to feel the pain

Can you hear me?
Don't come near me
You'll just get in my way
I'm only human
And there's nothing you can say

Let me rise, let me fall
Let me breathe
I wanna lose control, I'm not afraid to lose it all
Let me break, let me crawl
'Cause I will get up again if you let me fall

Say you know who I am
And what I'm about
Then you'll understand that I feel alone
I live my own life

Let me rise, let me fall
Let me breathe
I wanna lose control, I'm not afraid to lose it all
Let me break, let me crawl
'Cause I will get up again if you let me fall

Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
If you let me fall
If you let me
If you let me fall
If you let me fall

I will get up again if you let me fall
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
If you let me fall
If you let me fall
Let me fall

I reckon this song is about a guy...a guy that seems to control this girls life and now shes like "LET ME FALL YOU IDIOT!"...Kinda let me "make me own decisions....dont worry mate Its all good okay?". I agree...a girl has to do her own thinking sometimes.

This song is about her being in love and now she's heartbroken and she's telling the guy to let her fall so she can get back again by herself. She asking him to hurt her so she can feel the pain and its gonna make her strong. She asking him to let her hurt in her own way.

She's gaining experience from this bad occurrence with this guy. He's interfering with her and its not helping her learn from her mistakes. In fact, its only making things worse. I like Undiscovered's take on the song.

This song is about wanting to show people that you're stronger than you seem. And you just want to make one mistake, so that people who change their point of view about you. This song really describes me. For my whole life, no one thought of me as a "strong person." Then after I went through a couple things & made some stupid mistakes, people really changed how they saw me. They now see me as a stronger person, which makes me grateful that all ended well.

this song could be applied to a guy, and in the show, i think it is, but you could just apply it to life - like ohitstraquikx said.

She's saying, Right now, she's being treated like a child (i feel chained// chained down) and to just let her go (just let me out). That she has to make her own mistakes and live her own life (I gotta figure it out// And live my own life ). That she's going to get down sometimes (I’m only human ) amd if she does fall and things go wrong, she can put her self back together again. (i will get up again// if you let me fall)

i have always thought this song is more about parents and adults trying to control your life and you trying to show them that you need to suffer in order to learn...thats just how i see it

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
