Willie The Pimp Lyrics
Pair a khaki pants with my shoe shined black
Tellin' all the boys that she cain't be beat
Meet me onna corner boy 'n don't be late
Wanna buy a grunt with a third party check
Floozies in the lobby love the way I sell:
HOT RATS
HOT CATS
HOT RITZ
HOT ROOTS
HOT SOOTS
HOT RATS
HOT CATS
HOT ZITZ
HOT ROOTS
HOT SOOTS
oh come on i cant believe im the first person to comment on this song, its awesome
my friend introduced me to frank about three days ago, and this song makes me feel so happy. its about a pimp, obviously, and the hooting at the start of the solo cracks me up everytime lol.
i dont know much about zappa btw, can someone tell me if its a sax or a violin at the start of this song? it sounds like both of them to me
It's an electric fiddle.
It's an electric fiddle.
@metal_advocate 3 days ago?!?! You need more than 3 days just to listen to his catalog. You have to start with the first, "Freak Out". It could have been written today, much less the mid 60's. Make sure you crank up "Live At the Fillmore East" for your neighbors to enjoy too. It's "based" on a "true" story. And yes, that is Flo and Eddie from the original Turtles singing their biggest hit.

definently a fun solo to listen to he always does hit just the notes i want to hear and yes it is both in some cases metal
This is one of my favourite songs ever, the violine playes by Sugar Cane Harris is as awesome as Captain Beefhearts vocals. But Zappa hit it all with the magnificant Solo, which really is the best i ever heared. I'm going into eBay now to buy a zappa sticker. it kicks ass.
Absolutely fucking glorious solo! all seven minutes of it!
Zappa rocks!
I love the guitar solo in this, make me feel happy and just want to groove. Not much to say about the lyrics fairly obvious, see the album title got into the lyrics on this one.
The violin in the intro is Sugar Cane Harris? I thought it was Jean-Luc Ponty. What does JLP play on for Zappa?
I just checked out the "Hot Rats" Credits in my CD Booklet, JLP plays Violin on the magnificant "It must be a camel" while SCH plays on "Willie The Pimp". Allright guys, lets just make a WTP-Guitar-Solo-Lovers meeting, just sit together or dance to the solo and go home after that. I live in germany, is that lokation ok? :) Has anyone here seen the Zappa plays Zappa tour by dweezil? It was amazing!!!
Pure goodness.
I just got into Zappa about a year and a half ago and when I first heard this song, it blew me away. The solo is truly amazing.
Captain Beefheart's vocals on this track are not just amazing as hell, but I seriously, have a hard time trying to decifer which part of the song to get the "chills" to... CB's vocals or FZ's powerful solos in this song!! How fucking lucky were these two people to have actually grown up together in HS, huh!!?!? I truly wish that they would've done a lot more songs together!! Great song, period.
