"White Butterfly" as written by and Joseph Morgan David Mcpherson....
Paint a perfect picture Over me
Smoke away the shakes and fall asleep
Dream about the things I used to be
Sporadical smiles

I can't take that much
Wash away
Burn away
Fade away
I feel too drained now
I can't take that much
Wash away
Burn away
Fade away

It's too late to redeem myself
I should of been something better than this
I'm so ashamed
And I know I'm to blame
Should have been thinking, thinking of you

My tired eyes are falling down on me
Chest is caving in but i'm too warm
Saturate the habit
Stroke thin air
down the hill I go

I can't take that much
Wash away
Burn away
Fade away
I feel too drained now
I can't take that much
Wash away
Burn away
Fade away

Talk about the aftertaste
Talk about the afterlife
Should of been somewhere
Out of this town
Talk the about the nights we've shared
and talk about the fights we've had
I want you to know that
I'm sorry

It's too late to redeem myself
I should of been something better than this
I'm so ashamed
With no-one to blame
Should have been thinking, thinking of you
Talk about the aftertaste
Talk about the afterlife
Should of been somewhere
Out of this town
Talk the about the nights we've shared
and talk about the fights we've had
I want you to know that
I'm sorry

General Commenthmm it could be something along those lines. i reckon maybe its about his betrayal of a girl and only knowing how much he really loved her when it was too late

General CommentThis is from InMe's website:

Why is the new album called 'White Butterfly?'
As Dave mentioned in Rock Sound Magazine "A friend of ours passed away a couple of years ago and he was fascinated by white butterflies. About a year later after he died we were sitting around and somebody said, why was he fascinated by them? You never see them', and then one flew by! ...it also has another meaning, because butterflies symbolise rebirth."

So, I think it's about their late friend.

General Commenti think he's in love with a girl and when he finally thinks he can tell her its too late. but then the line *should of been thinking fo you* just makes me think hes done somethign selfless and is trying to say sorry for it.

General CommentSporadical means occasionally, or not very often...that kinda makes me think it's about him breaking up with a girl because of something he's done that was wrong, then realising how bad things used to be before her and knowing he cant go back to that. he then says sorry, and that he wasn't 'thinking of you' like he should have been when he did

General CommentThe song was written about their friend who passed away after falling from a bridge. He was running after his girlfriend after an argument they had, hence the lines
"I'm so ashamed and I know I'm to blame, should've been thinking, thinking of you"
And, "Talk about the nights we've shared, talk about the fights we've had
I want you to know that I'm sorry"
