Grey Skies Turn Blue Lyrics
You say you want me to say I'm sorry
But I don't have to,
and I don't want to say it,
'Cause I'm not sorry
I played the game and I
Can't really say that I like it
Can't really say I hate it
Can't really say that I payed attention
[chorus]
When grey skies turn blue,
I'll come back for you
The night can't change my heart
there's nothing I can do
When grey skies turn blue,
When dreams do come true,
Will you be the way that I remember you?
[/chorus]
You say that life with me is driving you crazy,
But I don't see it,
I don't want to say it's alright,
I must be crazy
I didn't mean a thing when I said nothing is fleeting,
or worth repeating (worth repeating)
worth repeating (WORTH REPEATING)
[chorus]
The cold wind on my face
is the only thing I've felt in such a long time
such a long time, it's been a long time,
yeah yeah
[chorus]
But I don't have to,
and I don't want to say it,
'Cause I'm not sorry
I played the game and I
Can't really say that I like it
Can't really say I hate it
Can't really say that I payed attention
When grey skies turn blue,
I'll come back for you
The night can't change my heart
there's nothing I can do
When grey skies turn blue,
When dreams do come true,
Will you be the way that I remember you?
[/chorus]
But I don't see it,
I don't want to say it's alright,
I must be crazy
I didn't mean a thing when I said nothing is fleeting,
or worth repeating (worth repeating)
worth repeating (WORTH REPEATING)

definalty a great song, very emo for mxpx, but still great its on atticus 3.
very good song
This is totally a "throw out" I'm not saying MxPx abandoned their faith but I've heard things about that, so don't get mad at me for saying on they're not Christian any more because I don't know.
To ME, it sounds like this song is talking about abandoning God.
"When grey skies turn blue, I'll come back for you" -When things get better in life he'll go back to believing in God
"The night can't change my heart there's nothing I can do" -He thinks that he shouldn't be blamed for the things going wrong in his life and that him abandoning his faith is something he can't control
"When grey skies turn blue, When dreams do come true, Will you be the way that I remember you?" -When things get better and when his prayers get answered, since then he'll "come back for you" will God be the same way he remembered when he was a believe before
About the cold wind on his face being the only thing he's felt in a such a long time I think it means that nothing good is happening in his life and well, all the chorus interpretation.
Just my two cents.
How can you relate this to Christianity at all? I can't even hardly believe you got that far with the chorus but to me the song is about this guy that lost his love so now he's searching for himself. When he does find himself he'll come back to his girl.
He formed this relationship and now the girl is having some second thoughts. So this sparks something in himself which leads to him trying to find himself.

While i'm not entirely sure i would say this song is related to Christianity, i can certainly see the connection.
It would be very believeable for them actually. They were originally a Christian punk band way back in the day. Then they switched to mainstream and did announce they were no longer Christian. So I could see it.
Just for you arguing peoples: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mxpx = MxPx caught the attention of Tooth & Nail Records....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tooth_%26_Nail_Records = Tooth & Nail Records is a Christian rock record label founded by Brandon Ebel in California in 1993
Christianity Is Overrated. It's A Cult, As Are All Religions. [[No Offense People]]
I agree with x rookieoftheyear.....
^ thankyou. =] You're awesome.
"In religion and sociology, a cult is a cohesive group of people (often a relatively small and recently founded religious movement) devoted to beliefs or practices that the surrounding culture or society considers to be far outside the mainstream"
from the wikipedia page on "cult"
Christianity is one of the world's largest religions, therefore, it is not a cult.
lol five months later but its allright
